Tai Chi is a form of exercise that combines breathing techniques and slow, deliberate movements intended to improve health and muscle tone. Practicing the gentle movements of Tai Chi can calm the mind, strengthen the body, and improve balance. Let Chris be your guide as you work alongside her toward a more peaceful and flexible self. Chris has been an active participant in Tai Chi for over 12 years. For ALL ages and fitness levels – but a favorite with our Seniors! Tuesdays 3:45pm – 4:45pm. Registration: $80. Drop-ins are welcome at $5 per class.
Fall/Winter Rambles for Seniors and other Free Spirits
with Sam Horine, RSU 54/MSAD 54 Adult and Community Education
Walking is a good exercise; it promotes good conversations with fellow walkers and the opportunity to observe one's surroundings. So, for those with some free time, I'm organizing a couple of “rambles” a month - starting in September and ending in March. Most 'rambles' will be in rural areas with a few in urban settings. All will be within a 40 miles radius of Skowhegan. While most 'rambles' will take place in the afternoon, some will start earlier in the day. At times, we may want to carpool to a starting point. Good walking shoes, warm comfortable clothing, in winter - snowshoes and or ice creepers, and the yen to explore are the only essential elements needed.
First Meeting will be held at SAHS at 4:30pm on October 8, 2019
Every second and fourth of each Month

Do you struggle with technology? Google has many great tools you can use for free! If you want to use Google for personal use, or you use it at work, we will explore the amazing tools provided. Learn to present information, share with colleagues, collaboratively edit, and use other time-saving tools. (If you do not have a current google account, we will create one in the first class.) Bring a laptop or we will have computers available. The beauty of Google is that you can access it anywhere you can go online. Thanks to a generous donation by OTelCo we are able to offer this on-going open lab time at no cost.
