Fly Fishing Canoe Adventure

This four-week (two hours per week) course is designed to enable 20 students to catch Maine native fish using fly rods and flies they have tied, while negotiating the Kennebec River in their own canoe. Course includes: basic fly tying, fly casting for river fishing, preparing native fish for meals, introduction to the canoe, river canoeing practical exercise, and a team Kennebec fishing adventure. Experience the flavors of Boston’s Chinatown with cooking instructor Chris Toy! Enjoy a guided tour of Chinatown and explore the traditions, customs, and history of Chinese culture in Boston. Savor traditional Chinese Dim Sum at one of Chinatown’s oldest restaurants, where Chris and his family have been dining since before he could speak English! Don’t miss out on the action at the 40th Annual Boston Dragon Boat Festival on the Charles River! Get ready for dragon boat races, traditional arts and crafts, cultural performances and vendors, and the authentic flavors of Chinese culture! Make the most of your day in the city with international flavor! Transportation is included in the cost of the trip and will be provided by Amtrak and MBTA. Meals are not included in the cost of the trip, so please plan accordingly. Please dress appropriately for the weather; bring layers and comfortable walking shoes. Please bring snacks and a water bottle, sunscreen, and a sense of adventure!

A Night in the Museum

This is an evening event at the Isabella Gardner Museum where you will enjoy art and live music. The trip starts at 2:45pm Thursday March 21st, 2018 from Wells High School. Transportation and entrance fee are included on your fee. Dinner and refreshments are available for purchase. The event is from 5:00 to 9:00 PM, plenty of time to enjoy the museum, dinner, and refreshments. The van returns to Wells from the museum approximately 11:00 PM. There is a maximum of 10 passengers: please register early.

We will answer questions about RV driving to Alaska and the western US, how to get the lowest prices for escorted tours to almost anywhere, and getting great deals on hotels while traveling at home and abroad. Information will be presented on river cruises for less, as well as airfare tips. In addition, you will go home with valuable online resources.
