Cirque Du Soleil is coming to Portland this summer, bringing their first ever experience on ice. Reviewers say “if Crystal comes to an arena near you, don’t miss it.” Crystal, the misfit heroine, takes you on an exhilarating tale of self-discovery as she dives into a world of her own imagination. Watch world class skaters and acrobats claim their new frozen playground with speed and fluidity as they challenge the laws of gravity with never before seen acrobatics. Crystal invites you to suspend reality and glide into a world that springs to colorful life with astounding visual projections and a soundtrack that seamlessly blends popular music with the signature sound of Cirque Du Soleil Seating is in Section G Rows 2-5. We’ll head over to Cracker Barrel for dinner (on your own) after the show. Registration fee includes motor coach transportation and show ticket. Deadline to register is April 30. Explore the best of Acadia with Registered Maine Guide (and cooking instructor!) Chris Toy for an experience you won’t forget in one of America’s favorite national parks! Enjoy a weekend full of great food, great company, beautiful scenery, brisk outdoor adventures, personalized cooking lessons, and so much more - during peak foliage season! Weekend highlights include: Cadillac Mountain sunrise and hike, lunch at Jordan Pond House and Jordan Pond Loop Trail, sightseeing and photography opportunities along the Park Loop Road, shopping and dining in Bar Harbor, and cooking lessons with Chris (followed by two delicious, locally-sourced dinners)! This is one weekend adventure you won’t want to miss! The cost of the trip includes: 2 nights’ lodging at a 6 bedroom AirBnB (shared rooms), park admission and vehicle passes (carpool), 2 continental breakfasts, 2 dinners with cooking lessons from a professional chef, and guided hikes with a Registered Maine Guide. Lunches are not included in the cost of the trip. Transportation arrangements for carpooling from Freeport in personal vehicles will be made in advance. Explore the beauty of the Katahdin wilderness with hiking, canoeing, delicious meals (and gourmet camp cooking lessons!), campfires, photography opportunities, wildlife sightings, and so much more! Get away from it all and enjoy the simple pleasures of being off the grid! Don’t miss this chance to experience all that Maine’s northern wilderness has to offer! The cost of the trip includes: 3 nights of camping in the park; breakfast, lunch, and dinner for three days; guided hikes with a Registered Maine Guide and canoe rentals. Transportation arrangements for car-pooling from Freeport in personal vehicles will be made in advance. Additional information and a pack list will be provided prior to the trip. Maine Bucket List: Mt Katahdin with Chris Toy

Mt. Katahdin is #2 on National Geographic’s top 10 summits worldwide! Check Baxter Park and Mt. Katahdin off your bucket list (weather permitting!) AND enjoy great camp cooking with Registered Maine Guide and chef Chris Toy for 3 days in early September. Park rules only allow reservations 4 months in advance. There will be a required meeting one month before the trip. This is a highly strenuous trip! Participants must confirm that they have hiked for at least 6 hours, gaining 2000 feet carrying an overnight pack weighing 20 lbs within the last 6 months. Please note: Our group will stay together for the whole trip. Maine Driving Dynamics

This course offers all drivers the opportunity to improve their defensive driving skills.  Instruction will cover collision avoidance techniques, safety issues, driver habits, and attitudes.  Those completing the course will receive a 3 point credit on their driving record. 

This class will meet Tuesday, December 17th and Thursday, December 19th from 5:30 - 8 pm.

$40.00 for ages 64 and younger 

$10.00 for ages 65 plus
