Free

with David Richards, RSU 54/MSAD 54 Adult and Community Education

Calendar Sep 15, 2020

Are you looking for something to do during the pandemic? How about joining a book discussion group from the convenience of your own home? The Margaret Chase Smith Library has shifted its book series online via Zoom since April with success. We read local authors over the summer and will shift to classics of American Literature in the fall.

We will meet virtually on the third Tuesdays from September through December at 6:30 PM.

The schedule will be

  • Huck Finn by Mark Twain on September 15
  • The Red Badge of Courage by Stephen Crane on October 20
  • Call of the Wild by Jack London on November 17
  • My Antonia by Willa Cather on December 15.

All of the books will be accessible in a variety of formats online via the Project Gutenberg website.

To register and receive the Zoom information, please contact the Library at mcsl@mcslibrary.org or 474-7133.

We hope you are doing well and will decide to join the group.

This is a virtual only class. Upon registration you will receive a link to attend virtually. The instrucor will be using either Zoom or Google Meets.

This instrument is versatile and a blast to play. On it you can knock out folk tunes, rock, samba, blues, pop, country, and classical music.
