Adobe Illustrator

Anyone can learn Illustrator! In this class by Adobe Certified Expert Rob Underwood, you will learn the basics of Adobe’s premiere vector application. You will learn how high quality illustrations, logos, and other custom artwork is built. You will need to have at least the 30-day trial of this application on a laptop to participate in the class. You will learn creating a document, drawing in Illustrator, using layers, tools panel, and typography.

Did you ever wonder how magazines, newspapers and books were built? This is your chance to learn how! You will need to have at least the 30-day trial of this application on a laptop to participate in the class. You will learn creating documents, working with type, master pages, styles, and exporting to PDF.

This Maine Children’s Home class is an introduction to the adoption process; you will learn about procedures, rules, regulations, in-state, inter-state, and international adoption processes. New: We will be adding information about Embryo Adoption as an option for families and what The Maine Children’s Home role is in the process. Limit 15 students.

This class will take place on Fridays  10am-12pm.

Calendar Mar 19, 2019 at 6 pm, runs for 2 weeks

Learn the knowledge and skills necessary to help in an emergency, whether it be a heart attack, a stroke, severe bleeding or a muscle, bone or joint injury. Participants will watch a video, take part in discussions, and take part in easy-to-learn skill practice leading to 2 year nationally recognized certification. 

This class will take place on Tuesday, March 19th & Tuesday, March 26th 6pm-9pm

There is a minimum of 6 participants and a max of 12.

AED/CPR and First Aid: American Heart Association

Learn CPR and how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Instructor will also teach child and infant CPR if there is interest. Upon successful completion, students will receive a two-year CPR certificate from the American Heart Association.

The AHA's Heartsaver First Aid Course is designed to prepare students to provide first aid in a safe, timely, and effective manner. Upon successful completion of this course, students receive a Heartsaver First Aid course completion card, valid for two years.

Adult Golf Lessons

Calendar May 13, 2019 at 5:30 pm

Longtime Golf Instructor Gerry Caron will get you started playing and enjoying the great  game of golf.  Learn swing basics including grip, stance and alignment, followed by an introduction to irons, woods, chipping and putting.  Also learn golf rules and etiquette.  ONce the class is complete you will be ready to schedule your first tee time.  Bring your own clubs, or we can provide some if needed.  

Note: the last day of lessons will run from 5:30 - 7:30 pm with the first hour on the range and the second hour on the course.
