Want to try the fastest-growing paddle sport in the nation? Here is a great opportunity for the novice SUP-er or “never been before but always wanted to try it” paddler. Come join Bill & Katelyn Perry and learn the essential skills and knowledge you need for Stand-Up Paddling, on boards especially designed for ease of use and learning. In a one-day on-the-water instruction, we will cover the basics of SUP’s, types of boards, getting on and off, basic paddle strokes and essential safety issues. Co-owners of Sebago Trails Paddling Company, Bill and daughter Katelyn, have over 30 years of paddling experience and instruction between them. Application Deadline:   June 4, 2021

Initial Mandatory Meeting:   Monday ~ June 14, 2021                              2:30pm @ Region Two to receive books, study materials, & paperwork

Class/Test  Date:   Saturday - June 26, 2021

Time:      8:45am to 4pm

This welding class covers the basics and is for the do-it-yourself welder. Students learn about the different welding processes (oxy-acetylene, stick, M.I.G. and T.I.G.) and get hands-on experience with those techniques. See how the characteristics of metal change as we weld them, i.e. heat treating. Safety is a priority and students are instructed in safety procedures.

This course does not offer a certification in welding; however, it may be valuable in deciding a welding operation you like best or in purchasing a welder that works for you. Class size is limited to 4. 

Students should plan on purchasing a welding shirt, gloves and eye protection by the first class. Suggested stores are AirGas (Bangor and online),Matheson Gas (Bangor and online) or through Amazon. All metal supplies and helmets will be provided.
