This intermediate class will explore the vast variety of yoga poses based in Anusara yoga. Anusara is a modern form  of Hatha yoga that is heart-focused and alignment-based.  Hatha yoga means the yoga of force. Please bring a mat,  block, strap and blanket to class.

Learn the bold, colorful art of Bargello needlepoint and create a stylish pair of handmade earrings—perfect to keep or give as a thoughtful, one-of-a-kind gift. Join instructor Heather who will guide you through the basics of Bargello stitching, a retro geometric technique that's easy to learn and impossible to forget. Choose your colors, stitch your patterns, and turn your work into wearable art. 

A materials fee of $15 due to the instructor at the start of the class.

Mommy & Me Cupcake Decorating

Spend some sweet time together in this hands-on “Mommy & Me” cupcake decorating class! You and your little one will learn easy frosting techniques and have fun creating colorful designs side by side. Bring a few plain cupcakes from home — we’ll provide the frosting, tools, and plenty of sprinkles! A perfect way to make memories (and a little mess) together.

The cost of this class is for a team of 2 (one parent, one child) and includes piping bags and tips, ingredients for making your own frosting, and sprinkles!

Materials to bring to class:

• One Dozen Undecorated Cupcakes for a team of 2
• Food Coloring if you wish for different color frosting
• Bowls to mix your different frosting colors

*If you would like to purchase a dozen cupcakes from Kayla the cost is $12 that is payable to Kayla at the start of the class

GNOME CARDS

Make three cards with gnomes used to communicate your message in three unique ways: a crossover fun fold, a dancing gnome (this technique will work for other stamps and dies), and a pop-up gnome. Intro to Runes

Runes are ancient symbols most notably used by the Nordic & Germanic tribes of northern Europe and may date back to as early as 200 B.C.E. They represent forces and objects in nature used for spiritual, religious, and magikal purposes.

In this workshop you will learn more about Runes, their meanings, uses in magick, and how to use them for divination.

Great Works Regional Land Trust is offering a one night class designed to help you use technology to identify birds, plants, and wildlife in your own backyard. This class will be followed up with a weekend hike on one of GWRLT’s public preserves in the school district region. Learn how to navigate and store your data on E-Bird and I-Naturalist. Use Merlin in real time to identify birdsong and connect what you hear to what you see. Whether in your backyard or deep in the woods, you can track your wildlife adventures by place and by date. Participants should bring their smartphones to download the apps they choose to use.

Class Times are as follows: 

Classroom time: Monday, May 11: 6 - 8p at Noble Middle and High School
Hike Day: Saturday, May 16: 9a location to be determind

Minimum: 4 | Maximum: 10
