Beginners Pottery Class – Creating

An introductory class, for creating pots on the wheel or by hand. Students receive 25 lbs of a high stoneware clay to create with. A materials fee of $30 is payable to the instructor at the first class. 

Bridgette Kinney has been a potter for 18 years and is the owner and operator of Dragon’s Breath Pottery in Warren.

BEGINNING FLYTYING

This course is designed for the beginner but is open to all skill levels.  Each week you will learn at least 2 different fly patterns and usually there is enough time during class to tie at least 3 flies of each pattern.  All materials will be supplied by the instructor.  You will need tools to participate in class.  Contact the instructor for a list of tools and where to purchase them.  There is nothing more exciting than catching a fish on a fly you have tied!  So join us and plan on gaining some knowledge and above all having a lot of fun.

Practice at ordering at a restaurant and everyday conversation about shopping, cooking, work and travel will follow.  Repetition and role-playing in conversation brings to life the structured information of the book--Learn Italian the Fast & Fun Way, by Marcel Danesi (3rd Edition preferred, but not necessary).

Vincent Carducci has studied in Rome, taken three extended trips to Italy as a working artist, and led Italian classes in Pennsylvania and Maine.

Practice of this dance provides gentle, strengthening exercise for the whole body with emphasis on the belly and thighs. This level 2 class will add new hip patterns, try out Beledie and Moroccan rhythms plus finish the Veil choreography begun in the beginning class. The class is suggested for those who have completed at least one belly dancing class or have other dance background. Students will accomplish a simple choreography during the session and learn the use of props such as scarves, zils and the veil. Please bring a large scarf for the hips, and wear loose comfortable clothes or dance wear. It is ALWAYS a good time to try Belly dancing! Bring a friend for only $20.00 more. Patti Luchetti has studied and performed Oriental Dance for over 25 years, in Maine, NYC and abroad.
