Whether you are a complete beginner or looking to brush up on previous skills, this is the drawing class for you. Working in a variety of media, we will cover all of the basics: line, shape, value, proportion, composition, perspective and markmaking. Particular focus is placed on observational skills, learning how to translate the 3-dimensional world onto a 2-dimensional surface. A materials list will be provided after registration. *This session is 6 weeks.

Within each of these four areas, five "threads" or topics are covered: Documentation; Legal and Regulatory Compliance; Intercultural Awareness; Technology; and Resources. Tasks and knowledge statements based on these areas and threads tested through the CGBP exam. This suite of courses provides an overview of essential skills for conducting international business. Understanding basic finance is important for any managerial position, even non-financial managers. This introductory-level course starts at the beginning, discussing finance as an organizational setting and legal forms of business. The course continues on to cover the responsibilities of financial managers, roles of finance in a typical business organization, and relevant financial markets of interest to financial managers. Further, the course will discuss corporate financing and the role the stock market plays in the business world.

Knitting is a versatile skill and a rewarding activity, and there is very little that is more satisfying than creating something with your own hands. But getting started without instruction can be discouraging. This course covers the basics of knitting, teaching you how to choose your materials, read knitting patterns, and create several different simple projects. Through a series of videos, an expert knitter will walk you through the basic stitches that are the building blocks for even the most complicated patterns, and you will soon be on your way to knitting with confidence.

WHO IS A MEDIAL TRANSCRIPTIONIST?

As a Medical Transcriptionist, you are responsible for receiving verbal information and typing that information into a word processing program, such as Microsoft Word or Word Perfect.  This information must be transcribed accurately, using the format specified by the provider (SOAP notes, discharge summaries, and other report forms).

Basic computer knowledge is a must, as are basic typing skills and knowledge of commonly used word processing programs. Most doctors or transcription companies ask for a minimum of 60 WPM. Also, many companies now use the Internet, which gives you the opportunity to work out of your home without having to drop off and pick up tapes.
