Calendar Nov 12, 2025 at 6 pm

Fun for the whole family!
NACE is excited to welcome author Author Ash to our Annual Family Literacy Pajama Party! Wear your PJs and bring the whole family to this FREE, fun-filled event that will include coloring, a fun craft, and a reading of Ash’s book “The Ordinary Snowflake!"

The PJ Party will be held at the Paul Johnson Library located within Noble High School.

Meet Author Ash!
Ashlee, aka Author Ash is an award-winning children’s book author of many fun, interactive, and engaging picture books! As a former kindergarten teacher who continues to teach part-time in her town’s elementary school, she loves to combine her love for literacy and children through writing stories that both touch on important topics in childhood and are FUN! She lives in our district (Lebanon) with her husband, Nate, and two children, Josh and Avery. Her love for children’s literature started early through her mother, who also taught in our district for over 20 years! She remembers the magic of read-alouds and the creativity it sparked. She then shared that passion with her own children and later with her students. Through her books, she hopes to share the magic, creativity, and FUN of children’s literature with others.

Life Story Writing Continuation

$120 Originally: $20

with Craig Siulinski, Merrymeeting Community & Adult Education

Calendar Nov 13, 2025 at 4:30 pm, runs for 4 weeks

*THIS IS AN EXTENSION CLASS FOR THOSE WHO HAVE ALREADY TAKEN LSW WITH CRAIG. HOWEVER, NEW STUDENTS ARE WELCOME TO JOIN.

This course provides more focus and motivation to write the life stories you started in a previous class or to start a new story. The course will help participants organize and write their life stories using the Guided Autobiography (GAB) method. Each week, students are required to write at least two pages based on a theme-of-the-week, and share their work with a dedicated group. Students will participate in discussions relating to the theme topics. Associated writing exercises will enhance memory recall and storytelling skills.

Joanna, a recent Life Story Writing participant, shared this comment regarding the sharing nature of the course: I found it very touching -a human connect- to hear the childhood memories of my classmates. It made them become “very real people” to me. Abstractly, we know “everyone has a story”, but this class made it tangible, real.

*Class will meet four times on these dates: 11/13 & 11/20; 12/4 & 12/11.

**This is an online class.
