Calendar Jul 19, 2019 at 9 am

Leave the summer driving to us as we head up and down the midcoast in search of treasures! We'll travel together by bus from the CHRHS parking lot, spend approximately 2 hours in the morning at one location, then take a break for lunch, and head out for 2 more hours before heading back home. Transportation for these day excursions is by school bus. Registrations are limited to 25 so that there is plenty of room on the bus to spread out and bring home your items. Trips run rain or shine, and we'll adjust our stops for more inside or outside time based on the weather. So grab your shopping buddies and join us! Searsport area stops will include the Antique Mall, Treasures & Trash Barn, Pumpkin Patch Antiques, and Captain Tinkham’s Emporium, with others possible as time allows. We'll grab lunch at the Anglers Seafood Restaurant. Cost of lunch is not included in the trip price, and you may order anything off the menu. Elyse Socker has been working in the Five Town CSD Adult & Community Education office since September 2007 when she began as the part-time evening secretary. Two months later she took over the position of Program Manager, where she has been ever since. Artist Mentorship

Free

with Kristin Fitzpatrick, Sanford Community Adult Education

Artists will work closely with their mentor to establish technical, conceptual, and professional goals. This customized program is intended for artists seeking to advance their artistic practice. Overcome your artistic obstacles; whether they be speaking about, making, presenting, or selling your artwork. Your goals + areas of concentration (medium) will determine which mentor you are paired with. With your mentor, you will co-create a self-designed program; addressing your practice, process, and aesthetic barriers. When necessary, mentors will provide medium specific demonstrations and constructive criticism of both process + product. Mentorship can take place at Arts Afire Studio or another agreed upon location. For rates and more information, please contact Kristin Fitzpatrick: kfitzpatrick@sanford.org  207-608-8738
