Hand Embroidery for Beginners

Have you ever wanted to learn how to hand embroider? Look no further! In this two-night class, Heather will teach you the ins and outs to get you started on your hand embroidery journey. You will learn basic stitches, learn about materials you can embroider, and understand how the right needle and thread can make all the difference. This is a great class for all skill levels. By the end of the class, you will have completed an embroidery piece that you can display proudly in your home.

Don't forget to bring your imagination!

Learn to Play the Ukulele!

Your Journey Begins Here! 
The ukulele has never been more popular, and you don't even have to know how to read music! On the uke you can knock out folk music, rock, blues, jazz, pop, and country tunes old and new -- even classical music.

Join instructor Duncan Perry on ZOOM, who has taught more than 700 students of all ages, and who will introduce you to essential chords and playing techniques using commonly known songs. Oh, and there are lots of laughs along the way. And, learning to play an instrument is good for your brain! You will need a playable ukulele and an electronic tuner or a tuner app. And when folks hear you play this happy instrument, well, they just have to smile! What are you waiting for? Grab a uke and get ready for a musical adventure, then spread the joy!

Tai Chi

Improve your well being through the peaceful movements of Tai Chi. Tai Chi is an excellent way to improve your strength, balance, flexibility, and coordination. This slow movement excercise is great for people of all ages and skill levels. In this 8-week program, you will walk through the different series of movements of Tai Chi.

Finish those UFOs (aka unfinished objects) or start a new one. Pick up helpful tips from fellow stitchers and make new friends! Escape those constant interruptions at home with over five hours of sewing and camaraderie. Show and tell is encouraged, and no one is too new to join in the fun! Bring handwork or your sewing machine and supplies. Iron, ironing board, cutting mats and rulers supplied.

Space is limited to 16 people so be sure to register early!

Boat America

For all boaters on inland and coastal waters. 

Approved for Maine Operators under 26 years of age on inland waters and coastal waters! 

This course is approved by the State of Maine and meets the requirements of the new law requiring boater education for operators between 16 and 25 years of age on inland and coastal waters out to the Three-Mile Line. It meets the requirements for PWC operators ages 16 and 17. This is the NASBLA (National Association of Boating Law Administrators) approved course, for all ages, honored in all states, on inland and coastal waters, where boater education is required. Course ID Card must be carried when operating. 

ATV/SNOWMOBILE SAFETY

Participation in an ATV and snowmobile education course will teach how to properly operate and maintain an ATV and snowmobile. Laws, responsibilities, and personal safety will also be covered. Passage of final exams is required. You must attend the whole class in order to receive your certificates. Students under 16 yrs of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
