They will answer your questions including what Medicare does and does not cover, when to enroll, the difference between Medicare Advantage and Medicare Supplement Plans, and which plan is best for you. Anna and Jo-Ann will be available for a question and answer session following the presentation. The seminar is free and open to the public, but we do ask that you register by calling the Adult Education office at 236-7800, option 5. Medicare Basics, What You Need to Know

Do you or a loved one need help understanding your options with Medicare? Did you know there are two ways to get your Medicare: Original Medicare and Medicare Advantage? When should you take Part A, Part B? Do I need a Medigap (supplement) Plan … a Prescription Drug Plans (Part D)? How do Marketplace Plans work with Medicare? Are you already enrolled in Medicare and want to better understand your choices for switching plans and potentially saving money during the Annual Open Enrollment Period? If you’ve answered YES to any of these questions, then this session is for you. Sponsored by the Southern Maine Agency on Aging our highly trained SHIP Counselors offer current, relevant, and unbiased information so that you can make an informed decision about your health insurance. This course is generously offered free of charge by the Southern Maine Agency on Aging, donations to SMAA are always gratefully accepted.

Medicinal Plant Walk

Join us on a nature walk and discover some wonderful plant medicine you can find in your own back yard. Learn to identify certain edible and medicinal plants and how to use them for health and wellness. Kim is a certified aromatherapist and an herbalist.

Bring to class: wear comfortable shoes, bug spray (instructor will have some natural spray on hand), and a notebook/pen.

Class will meet at the entrance gate of Fort Foster, Kittery (please note: there may be an additional entrance fee required to Fort Foster if not a pass holder).

Microsoft Applications & Google Docs, Session 3

In this class, Chris will cover Microsoft Office Applications (Work, Excel and PowerPoint) AND the Google equivalent of each.  You will learn to create and edit letters and documents, work with spreadsheets and create slide presentations for personal and/or business use.  Depending on the needs of the class, we may also begin working with tables and graphics.  Basic computer experience required.  Wednesdays, 6-8pm Registration: $50 per 5-week session.
