"Beginning Computer" Course

This Course gives you an opportunity to explore the basics of computer usage and will help with getting you started from the ground up. You do not need your own computer, but, if you have a laptop that you wish to get familiar with, plase bring it with you.

Through partnership with the University of Maine at Augusta and Central Maine Community College we now offer ACCUPLACER testing. The ACCUPLACER assess college reading, writing, mathematics, and computers. Colleges generally use these scores to place you in the most appropriate classes. Fee will be waived for those enrolled in our College Transitions program.

Acrylic Painting makes bright color that looks similar to oil painting, but clean up easily with water. The art can be worked on panel board or canvas. Learn to make landscapes, reflections and beautiful sunsets. Other elements can be added with a detail brush. Class is for beginners to semi-pros. You will learn how to sketch and plan your composition, mix colors, and use different bush techniques. Watch a demo and paint along or paint from your own photo. Art is relaxing and fun.
Please have the following material for class: Acrylic Paint set, 2 acrylic brushes (1 large, 1 medium, and 1 small), canvas (NO LARGER THAN 16"X20") or canvas panel, jar for water, rag or paper towels, and palette (can be a white foam tray).
