Awaken curiosityand explore your journey in nature through art and words. Usingcloth-bound journals and a variety of media and subjects, focusedon both the biological and artistic sides, you will create beauty asseen through your eyes. Found objects will be used for contourdrawing, cyanotypes, marbleizing, prints, sketches, poems, andother media. Please bring your own finds as well. Plan to ventureoutdoors for a portion of the time as weather permits, and wearcomfortable shoes! Ages 17+ are welcome. There will be a $20materials fee (cash or check only) due to the instructor at the startof the first class. Limit 10 students.

Dog & Cat First Aid

This training is to teach participants how to be prepared for emergencies that involve a cat or dog. The Cat and Dog First Aid training is approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes. The training will combine videos, lectures, interactive discussion, and hands-on practical. By the end of training participants will be able to do or understand the following: • What goes into a pet first aid kit • What is the normal physical condition, behaviors and habits of your pet • Identify a normal heart rate, breathing rate and temperature • How to safely approach an ill or injured cat or dog • How to capture and restrain a cat and muzzle a dog • Demonstrate how to perform bandaging for soft tissue injuries • Care for fractures including head and neck injuries • Learn how to care for an animal with heat/cold related emergencies • Check for breathing and cardiac emergencies • Understand how to give rescue breathing and perform CPR for a dog or cat

In this gentle-moderate class, we move mindfully through a series of postures designed to increase flexibility and build strength while encouraging a connection between movement and breath. Planes, Trains, and Automobiles - a model odyssey

Apply your artistic expression to scale objects with plastic modeling. For those who like hands-on activities to make things that are unique, challenging, and rewarding, modeling knows no limits. This course will teach anyone age 16+ from the very basics to the more advanced, and anything in between. During a six-week time frame, we'll cover good fundamental techniques of modeling along with painting techniques to help you create something to be enjoyed and treasured when completed. Choose your subject matter: cars, planes, boats, buildings, animals, human figures, science fiction, and beyond. Come with your chosen model* and be prepared to have a great time making new friends and building something just for you. The class starts at a beginner level with opportunities for increased complexity as the course proceeds. A list of suggested supplies/tools will be provided when you enroll. *Contact the Adult Education Office for model suggestions.

Beginner Golf Clinic.

The purpose of this golf clinic for beginners is to teach the fundamentals of the sport in a fun, judgement-free indoor setting using simulators or the driving range, weather permitting. This clinic is designed for beginner golfers either new to the game or anyone who is looking for the basic fundamentals. Join us for an in-depth introduction of putting, chipping and full swing with irons and woods along with a discussion of the rules and course etiquette. Please note: Bringing your own clubs is highly recommended. Please note at the time of registration if you do not have a set.
