Mixed Media Watercolor Meetup

Keep the creativity flowing with Catherine in this laid-back, paint-night–style watercolor workshop! Each session brings a fresh mix of color experiments, playful techniques, and mixed media magic — think watercolor with a twist of ink, pencil, or other fun materials. You’ll start with a quick color-mixing sheet to get those creative juices going, then dive into a new technique designed to expand your skills and spark inspiration. It’s all about relaxing, learning something new, and enjoying the creative process together! All materials included — just show up ready to paint and play! Each session is a standalone workshop, with a $20 materials fee due to the instructor for each session. The materials fee covers everything you’ll need.

*This is a Family-Friendly program, which means this workshop is open only to adults with minors. To participate in this program, adults need to register themselves and at least one child. An adult can register multiple children (up to 3).
Get creative in this whimsical class, blending tumbled glass and pottery. We have lots of glass and pottery to choose from, come join us for a fun night out and create a keepsake and simply indulge in this therapeutic artistic process. All materials provided.

Becoming a Hospice Volunteer Presentation

Would you like to make an impact on your community? Have you been touched by hospice? Join me for this engaging presentation (and question and answer time) as I provide all the needed information on how to become a hospice volunteer. We will discuss what volunteers do, what you can expect, the benefits of volunteering and the mandated requirements. Andwell Health Partners is the best and only non-profit hospice in the area. We offer our volunteers mileage reimbursement, monthly social gatherings, continuing education and many ways to volunteer. We have visiting volunteers, phone support, bereavement, administrative and retail volunteers in our thrift stores. The Best Medicine is Love and Support, and if you agree, please join our amazing volunteer team. Bring a tablet, laptop or even smartphone if you would like to get started immediately. Abstract Studio: Collage & Frottage

In the summer of 2026, the abstract atelier will be exploring collage and frottage. Collage is a process of applying cut or torn paper, text, or imagery to a surface; and frottage is a technique of rubbing media on top of paper which has been placed over an uneven surface. Sketching in the Wild

The plein air sketching class this summer is not media dependent. Working in your field journal or sketchbook, you may use pencil, ink, watercolor, colored pencils, watercolor pencils, or all of the above. We will meet at various scenic locations and parks in and around the Midcoast. The instructor will send the group an email with the meet up location prior to each class. Maine’s Heritage Beans & Beanhole Suppers

Taste your way through Maine’s heritage beans - like Jacob’s Cattle, Cranberry, and Marfax - in this tasting and lecture exploring traditional recipes, beanhole supper history, and the farmers keeping these heirloom varieties alive today. Learn what makes each bean unique and enjoy a hearty sample of Maine Tasting Center’s own beanhole-style beans. Presented by Sara Gross of Maine Tasting Center.
Reiki Practice Circle

This is an opportunity to practice giving Reiki in a safe and guided environment with an opportunity to also receive a session as well. Reiki II certification is a requirement. If you'd like to attend, but took Reiki II elsewhere, please bring your Reiki II certificate with you.

State Park Sketchbook: Wolfe's Neck State Park

Bring your favorite art supplies and join us to draw or paint the view at one of Maine's fabulous state parks. Pack a lunch, bring your sunblock and bugspray, and spend a day communing with nature and fellow artists. All experience levels encouraged. Guidance and feedback are provided as needed. At the end of our visit we meet up to share results with the group. Participants meet at the park (admission is NOT included in fee).
