Algebra Skills for College - Summer

This course is designed for students who have a solid base in math but little or no experience in algebra. Students should have an ACCUPLACER score in arithmetic above 55 and an algebra score between 50 and 75 indicating a need to improve skills for college level algebra. The course will cover word problems, using formulas, solving linear equations, algebraic expressions, factoring of polynomials, and solving quadratic equations. (This course is equivalent to the course offered at community colleges and universities.) 

This course is part of our Maine Adult Education College Transitions Program. There is no registration fee for qualifying students. A $10 book fee does apply. For more information on the College Transitions program and for a registration appointment, please call 453-4200, ext. 3114.

Biology Lab/Fall

This course centers on the biosphere emphasizing investigation, analysis, and critical thinking of content through lab experience research, Lab activities will promote technical lab competence, utilize the scientific process of research and reporting, as well as teach and reinforce scientific concepts. This course fulfills the science requirement for high school completion.
