Become certified in First Aid/CPR/AED – Adult and Child. All the equipment (manikins and AEDs), videos, Student Workbooks, and consumable supplies are provided. Included in the course are adult and child CPR with AED and first aid skills, where the students demonstrate the skills learned. Upon successful completion, an American Heart Association First/Aid CPR and AED Certification card will be sent to the student, valid for two (2) years. For those taking the course to meet U.S. Coast Guard requirements, a Certificate of Completion that indicates this course meets the requirements of 46 CFR 11.201 for Merchant Mariner Credential will also be issued. This 2-hour retreat is a gentle invitation to rest, release, and reset. Through calming breathwork, body-based relaxation, and restorative practices, you’ll soothe your nervous system and offer your body and mind the deep rest they deserve. This retreat is designed for beginners and seasoned practitioners alike. Activities include: Guided relaxation practices, Guided meditation for rest and renewal, Gentle & restorative movement, and Journaling or quiet reflection. Please bring: A yoga mat, a journal, and anything that supports your comfort—such as a blanket, cushion, or eye pillow.

The ukulele is one of the easiest ways to try making music for the first time, or learn a new instrument. In this class we’ll start with 4-5 basic chords that can be used to play lots of popular and familiar tunes and build from there. We’ll cover how to tune, strum and sing along. No prior musical experience required and all levels are welcome! Instructor Nina Andersen has 30 years of experience facilitating and supporting adults making music at whatever level they can. She is the Founder and Music Director of the Southern Maine New Horizons Band, Music Director of the New England Adult Music Camp and the Associate Conductor of the Harpswell Concert Band. She was also the Music Director of the Maine Pops Concert Band from 1997-2017.

Come join us as we explore the wonders of clay! You will develop and use it to create unique pieces of your own design through a variety of techniques. You will be encouraged to try the manual and electric wheels, roller, carving tools, and beautiful glazes to bring the pieces you imagine to life. Beginners to experts welcome.

Classes 1-4: For creation
Class 5: Prepping pieces for firing
Class 6: Glazing pieces

Clay and glaze cost is $45 due to the instructor at the first class.

Every sewist knows what it’s like to cut their fabric on the floor and then sew at the kitchen table. We also know it’s a bit lonely and sometimes frustrating to find help when we are stuck on a particularly baffling pattern instruction. Whether you’re trying to complete unfinished projects or start new ones, Nancy will be on hand to guide you through the difficult spots. Bring your sewing machine and supplies, or do hand work.

NACE has irons, ironing boards, cutting mats, and rulers available to use during class time. If you need to borrow a sewing machine, please let us know ahead of the class.

You will choose the sentiments to make them birthday, get well, friends, etc. Precut kits and envelopes are provided. Participants need a pair of scissors and colored pencils or markers.
