In this two-part workshop, you’ll explore the dramatic and hands-on process of raku firing. In Part 1, you’ll sculpt a piece in clay and watch a live raku firing demo. Three weeks later in Part 2, you’ll glaze and fire your own work using the raku method—removing red-hot pieces from the kiln and placing them into combustibles for stunning, unpredictable results. No experience necessary. All tools and materials provided. $20 materials fee payable to the instructor. Using craft dies, students will create three window cards.  A variety of papers and sentiments will be available so students can make the cards their own.  All materials will be included along with complete instructions.

Prepare for your permit and get valuable driving practice. Students must be at least 15 years old to attend. Classes run Monday to Thursday from 2-4pm (no class on holidays). The first class runs from 2-5pm and a parent or gaurdian must attend from 4-5pm.

Is there a person, a pet, a place, a part of yourself – that you would like to celebrate with a Mosaic Memorial Stone? Bring any level of mosaic experience and join with others in learning glass and tile cutting, shaping, and adhering to create a “Memorial Stone” on an exterior-grade surface – a paver, a slate tile, beach rock, or material of your choice. Skills to be taught include: planning a design, using tools to shape glass, tile, crockery, etc. for the design, adhering the tesserae (pieces of stuff) to the substrate (your surface) with silicone glue, then grouting and finishing the piece. (Some work time at home between classes may be needed.). No class 11/3.

Become Nationally Certified in 10-weeks as a Phlebotomy Technician. Our course is all-inclusive and prepares you for national certification with live classes via Zoom and in-person skills labs. You will be able to perform basic phlebotomy procedures, evaluate patients for ability to withstand venipuncture procedure, explain the procedure and answer patient questions, perform basic point of care testing, such as blood glucose levels on patients, prepare blood, urine, and other body fluid specimens for testing according to established standards. $3,500 includes Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) national certification through NHA, books, resume and job assistance.
