Curved Log Cabin Quilt

$54

with Dale McKibben, Noble Adult & Community Education

Calendar Oct 29, 2025 at 6 pm

Create a stunning quilt using a traditional pattern with a twist. This quilt contains 36 blocks and finishes at 72” x 72”. The construction is easy, using a jelly roll (2.5inches wide) and a honey bun (1.5 inches wide) pack. There needs to be a goodcontrast between the jelly roll and the honey bun in order to see the curvedshapes. The center square is traditionally red (signifying the heart of the home) or yellow (the light or fire of the home). You can choose whatever color you want, especially if you like a more modern look. There are many ways to set the blocks- check out Google images for some ideas. * Please pre-cut your center squares before the first class.

Fabric Requirements:
• 1 Fat Quarter - Center Square
• 1 Jelly Roll - 2.5 “ wide, 40 strips
• 1 Honey Bun - 1.5” wide, 40 strips
• 1.5 yards border fabric

Invasive Bittersweet Basket

$95 Originally: $45

with Zack Rouda, Noble Adult & Community Education

Calendar Nov 1, 2025 at 9 am

Frustrating to gardeners and arborists, bittersweet is considered a largely useless bane on wildland. Wouldn’t it be nice if it were good for something? We can use ancient harvesting techniques to tend invasive bittersweet in the wild, simultaneously harvesting material for baskets while managing future growth.

Learn to weave a bittersweet basket. We'll employ several different weaving techniques in order to create a strong, beautiful basket for foraging, or use in the kitchen or garden. We’ll shoot for a basket about 9” wide and 7” deep, with or without a handle. This is a class for beginners, but some hand strength and dexterity is required.

Materials fee is included in the cost of the class!
