Basket Weaving: May Baskets

We will focus on crafting three vibrant, small May baskets. Guided by your instructor, participants will learn a traditional weaving technique using an array of colorful natural reeds to create square-to-round baskets with handles. Use your creativity to perfect these charming, one-of-a-kind celebratory May baskets...still a tradition in Downeast Maine. No experience necessary.

Beginner Wood Carving
with Art Chamberlin, MSAD#44 Adult & Continuing Education
Art Chamberlin is back to teach another beginner wood carving class! This time he is showing you how to make a gnome! He will provide the wood needed to carve your gnome as well as the tools for you to borrow for your woodcarving adventure! Art Chamberlin has been carving for years and is known locally as “The Santa Carver''. His patient style and attention to each participant will give you the confidence to do your woodcarving “homework” in between lessons. Join Art Chamberlin to create your own one-of-a-kind carving!

This course is for students who would like to learn the basics of personalcomputers. Whether you are brandnew to computers or tired of being lost and confused, you will be shown the basics of using your home computer. Learn about the desktop, using folders,copy and paste, browsing the internet,using email, mouse buttons, keyboard functions, the start menu, and viruses.
Dance Burn Aerobics
with Sue McKay, Bangor Adult & Community Education
Have you always wanted to “burn it up” on the dance floor? Now you can! Join long time dance instructor Sue McKay of the Back Door Dance Studio for a fun, energetic dance class. This 7 week session of classes will include easy to follow dance workouts to various speeds and types of music–Country, Pop, Latin, Funk, Jazz, and more–you name it and we can dance to it! Suitable for beginner and intermediate dancers, no partner required. Please wear comfortable clothing and shoes, bring your water bottle, and be prepared to sweat. If you love music and dance, and are looking for a fun workout, this is the place to be! No class on April 17.
Decorative Shadowbox
with Kim Stoddard, RSU 25 Adult and Community Education
This workshop will teach you how to craft a shadowbox for your home or as a special homade gift. You will learn how to use rubber stamps, paper, ink, and embellishments to create a treasured shadowbox. All skill levels can do this fun project. Materials are included in the registration fee. Join us for a fun, creative evening.
Elder Law - MS
with John Nale, Mid-Maine Regional Adult Community Education
This 2-hour class will include discussions regarding retirement planning, advance directives, guardianships, and conservatorships, second marrige family planning, long-term care and estate planning. There will be a storm make up class on 04/10/24, if needed. Attorney Nale will be available after class to answer any questions. Limit 20 students.

A fun and inexpensive activity for your family! Families will play games and sports while getting valuable exercise. Activities include kickball, parachute, floor hockey, four square, dodgeball, capture the flag and more. Kindergarten through adults - parents and kids play together.
