This class is intended either for those who have taken Drawing Fundamentals 1, or others who have an already established foundation in Drawing. Focus will be placed on further developing observational drawing skills (line, shape, value, proportion, composition, perspective and markmaking) through still life, portrait and other assignments. A materials list will be provided after registration. *This session is 6 weeks.

Learn the basics of box making in this 3 week course. In class we will gain experience with box making materials & techniques, which also apply to making hardbound books. Ending the class with a hand bound box that you can collage and decorate in your own style. Tools & materials provided. *A material fee of $20 should be paid to the instructor on the first night.

Learn from a professional horticulturist how to take care of your garden in the fall and how to prepare it for winter. Take advantage of late season fruits and vegetables, go over the basics of pruning, and other simple chores that will make getting back in the garden easier in the spring.

People use ham radio to talk across town, around the world, or even into space, all without the Internet or cell phones. It's fun, social, educational, and can be a lifeline during times of need. Before you can get on the air, you need to be licensed and know the rules to operate legally. Learn more about amateur radio, get your entry level license and then get on the air with this class.

Escape those constant interruptions at home with over five hours of sewing and camaraderie. Show and tell is encouraged, and no one is too new to join in the fun! Never has ther been a more gentle approach to a cardio workout! Baloon Boxing incorporates the elements of slow, flowing movements, as practiced in Tai Chi, while focusing on the spontaneous adaptations to the unpredictable floating movement of the balloon. With particular focus on breath-work, gentle stretching, no impact, and fun. Balloon Boxing is designed for all fitness levels and can be practiced seated or standing.

Bring your favorite art supplies and join us to draw or paint the view at one of Maine's fabulous state parks. Pack a lunch, bring your sunblock and bugspray, and spend a day communing with nature and fellow artists. All experience levels encouraged. Guidance and feedback are provided as needed. At the end of our visit we meet up to share results with the group. Participants meet at the park (admission is NOT included in fee).

This 55-hour remote learning real estate agent course, approved by the Maine Real Estate Commission, is a prerequisite to taking the Pearson VUE state licensing exam. Based on the book, Introduction to a Successful Career in Maine Real Estate, by Charles “Kim” Coit, its content includes material that is basic to the practice of real estate in Maine. This class is ongoing and the students can start as soon as they register. PDF copy of book is provided, $35 for hard copy.
