Be in compliance with the changing standards by taking Veterans Safety and Health Consulting LLC’s OSHA Compliant Personal Lift certification class.  Learn how to safely and correctly operate aerial lifts and scissor lifts. There are an average of 26 construction worker fatalities each year from lift accidents, often due to operator error or negligence, amounting to as much as 3% of all construction related deaths each year. Reduce YOUR risk of injuries and fatalities with proper OSHA-compliant lift certification. Two separate sessions are offered; choose the one you prefer.  Minimum of 10 participants to make this class run.

Students enrolled in this Certificate program complete 200 hours of classroom, laboratory, and clinical experience, which meet all state licensing requirements. Upon successful completion of the course and passage of the State Competency Exam, the student will be eligible to enter the healthcare field as a Certified Nursing Assistant under the direction of a licensed nurse. Call 596-7752 opt.3 for an application. Class size is limited so applying early is advised.  This is a daytime course on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays; Zoom presentations may be used, if necessary.

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Children’s Behavioral Health Services are vital to Maine’s children with Intellectual Disabilities, Autism and Mental Health Disorders and their families. 

As an integral part of the child’s treatment team, a Certified Behavioral Health Porfessional (BHP) has the opportunity to make an immediate impact while helping a child grow and develop to their full potential. The BHP Blended Course consists of 12 on-demand online modules and the virtual live session with a certified BHP instructor. Thanks to funding being provided by Maine’s Department of Health and Human Services, the course fees ($200) are waived at this time!

NOVEMBER DATES: SESSION 1: 11/7 & 14 (2 Saturdays)

Structural Welding 2 is a continuation of Structural Welding 1. The course offers advanced instruction, MIG, and TIG welding. This prepares students for certification testing and/or employment. 

Students spend extensive time hands-on in the welding shop with emphasis on creating quality welds. 

General shop, personal protection equipment, welding and other equipment safety training will be completed.

Cost includes all welding materials.

Testing for a Welding Certification is not offered at UTC.


All welding students are required to have their own safety glasses, welding cap, welding gloves, welding jacket, welding mask/helmet, and safety boots.

Students who complete Welding 1 will receive a $50 discount.
