Students will explore acceptable practices, workplace conduct, ethical decision making, use of social media, and individual and organizational ethical behavior. Guided independent study course online. Call to express interest. Fee: $75.
Refunds: Course cost will be refunded, less a $5 processing fee, if you withdraw one week prior to the first class. If you withdraw prior to the second class, you will be refunded 50%.
Computer Training for Small Business
with Cathy VanDyke, RSU #13 Adult and Community Education

Your business is unique, so are your training needs. Our staff consultant works with you to assess your needs and to customize computer-based or business training for you and/or your staff. Workshops are offered at the McLain School computer lab classroom in all topics covered in our array of computer, business and workforce courses. From Business Ethics and Customer Service to Cloud Computing and managing company Excel spreadsheets, we will work to design and deliver training for your own unique business needs. One-to-One Training & Consulting, $45/hour plus planning time Small Group Training (up to 8 participants), $50/hour plus planning time. Private Tutoring & Consultation. Need assistance learning to use your computer? Work at your own pace with the instructor to get the individual help you need. Topics are limited to those covered in our array of courses. Bring your laptop or use a desktop provided in the McLain School Computer Lab. $45/hour by appointment. Cosmetology Career Exploration Track
with Soni Reese, York Adult Education

Have you ever thought about a job / career in hair styling, skin care, or professional make-up? Did you know that it takes a year or less to train for such jobs/careers? This track will help you learn about job opportunities and career-planning related to cosmetology; provide you with the basic reading, writing, math, presentation, critical thinking, problem-solving, interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as technology/computer skills needed to enter and succeed in such jobs/careers; and begin the process of applying to classes or training programs related to hair styling, barbering, skin care, and professional make-up.
