140 Classroom Hours w/ a Clinical Externship

For students who want to prepare for an exciting, challenging and rewarding career in healthcare. This program trains students to assist physicians by performing functions related to the clinical responsibilities of a medical office. Instruction includes preparing patients for examination and treatment, routine laboratory procedures, diagnostic testing, technical aspects of phlebotomy and the cardiac life cycle. Includes hands on labs and a clinical extern- ship opportunity at a local healthcare provider. To be eligible for clinical rotation, students must successfully complete the 140 hour program, submit to a thorough background check, drug screening and meet other requirements. Note: Upon successful completion of this program, students are eligible to sit for the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) national examination.

Course Contact Hours: 140 hours + Clinical Externship

Student Tuition: $2,599 (Textbooks included - Board exam is an additional fee)

Clinical Externship Hours: 160 hours

with United Training Center, Maranacook Adult Education

Offered by United Training Center-Maine State Approved EMT Course which prepares students for entry level position on an ambulance. This course utilizes an online platform to enhance learning and classroom activities. This course utilizes an online platform to enhance learning and classroom activities. This course will require a majority of your course work to be done on-line, on your own computer. There will be, face to face, in class sessions with your instructor to learn the practical skills needed to be an EMT. A minimum of 20 clinical hours are required. All students will be required to provide immunization documentation and submit to a criminal background check.
