Learn How To Play Disc Golf!
with Noble Adult & Community Education
Come check out Hammond Farm Disc Golf Course, here in North Berwick at 410 Fox Farm Hill Rd. You will get a lesson and some practice time before you head out on the course to play a round. If you are a beginner, Pro player Scott Walsh will introduce you to the game and if you have some experience playing, then Scott will help you improve your disc golf skills.
We will provide the discs if you need them, so all you need to bring is your sense of adventure and willingness to have fun!
Groups are welcome. Come and give it a try!

Salsa Dance
with Luis D. Rivera, Bangor Adult & Community Education
Learn the basic steps and patterns, as well as the trademark Cuban hip motion that accompanies it. Salsa stems from a family of other like dances like merengue, bachata, cumbia, rumba and cha cha. It is this same family of dances that the popular Zumba exercise classes originated from. Instructor: Luis D. Rivera, Dancer, choreographer and personal trainer from Puerto Rico with over 20 years of experience, living in Maine since 2013. Trained in Ballet, Jazz, HipHop, Contemporary and Salsa. Luis has performed in multiple national and international competitions/exhibitions, latest one being the Miami Salsa Congress 2023.
NEW! Intermediate Drawing
with Gail Fitzpatrick, Noble Adult & Community Education
Students in Drawing II will engage in sequential learning experiences that encompass aesthetics and production and lead to the creation of portfolio quality works. Further development of drawing skills is the primary objective of this class and uses the human figure, landscape, still life and design work to help accomplish this goal.
Students will learn various techniques and different approaches to drawing through the use of chalk, colored pencil, conte crayon, pastels, pen and ink, charcoal, and pencil. Drawing II students will critique their own and others works.

UK Spring Garden Tour - Snowdonia, Cotswolds & the Chelsea Flower Show

Babysitter Certification

During this class you will have access to a highly trained instructor who will share the latest information on child care, offer tips, and can answer all of your questions so that you're ready to start your own babysitting business. With lecture and class activities, this class is engaging, informative and fun! You will walk away with a Red Cross Certification in Babysitting! Must be 11 to 15 years of age.
Although every situation is unique, there are some universal skills and techniques that every babysitter should have. Our courses were designed with this principle in mind and can help you deliver the care that families need. Just a few of the things our babysitting class covers include:

Pine Needle Baskets

White pine, Maine’s state flower, and Red pine, are ubiquitous throughout the state and provide a vital pool of resources for human and nonhuman Mainers alike. Pine needles are beautiful and strong! They can be coiled and sewn together to make hats, lovely usable baskets, and/or adorably tiny ones. Learn to identify, regeneratively gather and harvest, properly store and process, and weave with pine needles. We'll cover the basics of coiled basketry, which is a global, ancient human skill, and create a wonderful pine-needle basket.
