A flowing yoga class with roots in Hatha Yoga,Tai Chi and Shiva Rea’s Advanced Vinyasa practices. Experience yoga through breath work and postures with attention to structural alignment. Modifications available for those with hip, knee, and back issues. Bring a water bottle, yoga mat and please wear comfortable clothing. 

 

America's Boating Course

This Penobscot Bay Sail & Power Squadron Course is designed to familiarize the student with the fundamentals of safe boating and to qualify for certification in most states that require boating education before operating a watercraft.

We'll talk about safety equipment, trip planning, navigation rules and aids, state and federal regulations, anchoring, emergencies, communications, trailering and knots/lines.

A $10.00 Power Squadron Fee will be payable to the instructor.

The course book can be also purchased (optional)from the instructor for $26.00.

Aromatic Yoga Nidra

Aromatic Yoga Nidra is yogic deep relaxation combined with the sensory experience of essential oils. The Yoga Nidra experience is a luminous state of mind hovering between wakefulness and dream, which is profoundly healing. An hour of Yoga Nidra rejuvenates like 4 hours of deep sleep! The guided relaxation takes you into the subtle centers - the chakras- and the oils have been specifically blended for each one. As you rest, you will receive the oil in your palm, enjoy Reiki healing touch at head and feet, and hear the pure tones of crystal and Tibetan bowls.

This traveling sketchbook class is for everyone! With just a pen, pencil and sketchbook you can start this creative adventure. This class begins with an overview of different types of sketchbooks, how you can use them and the various supplies you will need. We will look at various techniques you can apply to your sketchbook. Beginner-to-experienced artists will love this process. Sketching develops your observing and drawing skills, increases your visual vocabulary, expands your creativity and is very relaxing. Individual expression and creativity is encouraged. Every week we will meet at a different location. For all levels. This class is perfect for beginners who would like to try a new experience with a minimum expense for supplies. Beginners are very welcome!

ATV Safety Course

This Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife Course covers ATV operation, laws, landowner regulations and relations, basic first aid and safety, along with any other state regulated laws. Children must be at least 10 years old to take this class, and anyone between the ages of 10-16 must be accompanied by an adult.

 

Backyard Chickens
