Barre Bootcamp - Section 2

Barre Bootcamp is a low impact workout that will produce a big burn! Barre combines elements of strength training, Pilates/Yoga and dance. Small movements and many reps will help sculpt and tone muscles you didn’t even know you had!

Get your heart pumping, increase your strength and work on your core during this 45 minute class. All exercises will have a modification and a progression so you can make the most of your morning!

Subtle Yoga - Beyond the Pretzel (March Session)

Start the year with self care!Gentle, subtle yoga is transformative, integrating health and personal growth with breath, meditation, philosophy and postures. Often yoga is presented as physical fitness that requires agility.  This class offers choices and modifications.....the approach is holistic, and allows you to realize the deeper, more contemplative aspects of yoga, while helping to improve your health regardless of age or ability.Subtle practices are great for immunity and resilience! Everyone welcome!

Bio:  Susan Coady has been teaching yoga for almost 40 years.  She is certified through Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health in Lenox MA.  Over the years she’s taken many programs at Kripalu, is certified in Ayurvedic studies and bodywork, is a graduate of Russill Paul’s 4 year Yogic Mystery School, and is currently an advanced student of Raja Choudhury, avidly exploring the Shakti tradition of mantra and meditation.  Susan believes yoga should be accessible and enjoyable for everyone!

Beginners Hatha Yoga - Session Two

Class will be held online using ZOOM.

This is a gentle beginners’ yoga class focusing on body alignment, breathing techniques, balance and strengthening in a slow paced and open environment. Class will end with introduction and exploration of relaxation and meditation techniques with time to experience how your yoga practice is evolving. If you have any special physical issues, chronic pain or injury, please contact the instructor before the first day of class to go over health concerns, safety and any props you may need to help you experience the best class possible.

Please have available a yoga mat, 2 blocks if you have them, 1 yoga strap, 1 blanket.

with ELYSE RUDNER, MSAD #37 Adult & Community Education

Calendar Mar 29, 2021 at 5 pm, runs for 6 weeks

The new yoga stream will be six weeks and each class will repeat the sequence of postures so that students have an opportunity to fine-tune each posture-flow-transition and learn the sequence to practice on one’s own, if desired. The instructor will offer modifications to make the practice accessible to a wide range of abilities. We will end each class with a blissful relaxation/savasana. Be ready to push your edge and develop confidence in your ability to move, grow, stretch and breathe to your heart’s content. 

No class on 4/19/2021.

Students will need a yoga mat. Yoga blocks 3"x6"x9" suggested, but not required.
