This class is in-person.  Registration is required as there are limited seats available.

Designed with the mature person in mind, this class will address the components of over-all fitness at each person's ability level.

The class helps you become stronger through cardiovascular activities (strengthening the heart and lungs), muscular strength and endurance (using weights) and flexibility through warm-up and cool-down stretching and yoga.

Class meets regularly, and you can start and stop any time. 

It is recommended that you bring 1-2 lb weights; wear comfortable clothes that let you move; and gym shoes to give your feet support. Always check with your doctor before beginning an exercise program.

THIS CLASS CURRENTLY RUNS YEAR ROUND, SO JOIN AT ANY TIME.

Want to stay active? Get into a walking routine! Join Kathy at the Sorrento-Sullivan Recreation Center for an hour of indoor/outdoor walking depending on the weather. You can saunter, power walk or speed walk. Whatever your pace you can do it safely. Meets regularly, and you can start and stop any time. Check out the new Age Friendly Sullivan walking path by the playground!

RSU#3 has its own fitness center located at the high school that is available for use by the community. Come join us and set up a fitness plan that will work best for you. 

Sessions include a complete orientation and availability of an on-sight trainer during the entire session. Discover your strengths and pursue 12 weeks of life enhancing workouts by using the facility up to 2 nights per week. 

The center is fully equipped with several cardiovascular machines incuding treadmills, elliptical, upright and recumbent stationary bicycles, a rowing machine, free weights, and a complete Life Fitness Pro circuit servies of weight machines. 

Requires medical clearance waiver. Must be 18 years or older. No street shoes allowed in the finess facility.

Lace up your sneakers, grab your music and a friend and com einside for some walking fun.  Don't be a couch potato this winter!

The Mt. View Complex has been mapped out for community members to get some exercise!  Add a spin aroudn the trach for some fresh air. Pre-registration is required adn there will be an orientation on your first night.  Cost is a one time $5 registration fee per year.

Yes, it’s true! You can literally breathe new life into your body! Every cell in your body is dependent on the breath to deliver blood, oxygen, and nutrients to all those cells. Learning how to strengthen your respiratory system has always been the missing link to overall health and fitness. This course is presented as if the student agrees to give themselves at least 3-6 weeks to implement the exercises and techniques. This two hour course is an on-demand, on-line, anytime, self-directed course! The link will be provided to you upon course registration. No student limit.

Are you looking for a dry, safe, and well-lit place to walk? Join us for a healthy way to keep fit. A walking clinic will kick off the program providing information on techniques, proper stretching, goal setting, and record-keeping. Info night for new participants is Monday, 9/19 from 5:30 - 6:30 PM in the high school cafeteria. No need to attend if you have previously participated in the walking program. Families are welcome to walk from 3:00 - 8:00 PM after the intro night. The nominal fee covers the entire semester! Kids are free. No access 10/10, 11/8, 11/24, and 12/22

Calendar Oct 3, 2022 at 6 pm, runs for 10 weeks

Join us for 10 weeks of Hatha Yoga for the beginner and intermediate. Barbara is Yoga Alliance certified in various types of yoga. Come and enjoy body movement and awareness as we flow through basic Hatha Yoga asanas. From Downward Facing Dog to Shavasana, together we will learn from, listen to, and move our bodies. Please bring mats and any props you have available.   NEW DATE:  Mondays, October 3rd through December 12th. 6:00-7:15pm. 10-week session. Registration: $90.  Drop-ins welcome - $10 per class.
