Evening Indoor Walking Program
with Tom Nash, Windham/Raymond Adult Education

Are you looking for a dry, safe, and well-lit place to walk? Join us for a healthy way to keep fit. A walking clinic will kick off the program pro- viding information on techniques, proper stretching, goal setting, and record keeping. Info night for new participants is Monday, 1/9 from 5:30-6:30 pm in the high school cafeteria. No need to attend if you have previously participated in the walking program. Families are welcome to walk from 3:00-8:00 pm after the intro night. The nominal fee covers the entire semester! Kids are free. No access 1/16, 2/20-2/23, 4/17-4/20

Want to stay active? Get into a walking routine! Join Kathy at the Sorrento-Sullivan Recreation Center for an hour of indoor/outdoor walking depending on the weather. You can saunter, power walk or speed walk. Whatever your pace you can do it safely. Meets regularly, and you can start and stop any time.

Over the duration of 16 weeks of Winter, a new GeoCache and Location will be announced for us to find a GeoCache Treasure!
These GeoCache treasures will be located at any of the Augusta Parks and Recreation trail systems;
Buker Community Center Trails
Bond Brook Trails
Bicentennial Nature Park Trails
Using the FREE GeoCache APP: Geocaching®
TAG your CACHE FIND on the APP that you've located it over a 2 week timeframe from the CACHE release to be entered into a a RAFFLE for Prizes!
Although no registration is truly required; you are welcome to register and will be updated by email when a new GeoCache is RELEASED!

Adult Fitness (Winter/Spring) - Online

This class is offered online using Zoom.
Here's everything to get YOU ready for your next phase of personal growth. Step aerobics using 4 or 6 inch steps or "step mats" (keeps you at ground level)...low impact to set your own intensity. Strength training with weights: meet your own needs for bone density and isolated muscle work to maintain a stronger you. Students should have their own weights, steps or step mats.
This class meets regularly, and you can start and stop at any time.
It is recommended that you have 1-2 lb weights; wear comfortable clothes that let you move; and gym shoes to give your feet support. Always check with your doctor before beginning an exercise program.

ZUMBA

The class that started the dance-fitness revolution and changed the way we look at a “workout” forever. It’s fun, effective and best of all? Made for everyone! It is a dance fitness cardio class with roots in latin rhythms. Wear sneakers and comfortable clothes, bring water and a towel. Erin has been teaching Zumba since 2014, with hundreds of students across Maine and beyond! Senior Fitness - Online

This class is being offered online using Zoom.
Designed with the mature person in mind, this class will address the components of over-all fitness at each person's ability level.
The class helps you become stronger through cardiovascular activities (strengthening the heart and lungs), muscular strength and endurance (using weights) and flexibility through warm-up and cool-down stretching and yoga.
Class meets regularly, and you can start and stop any time.
