Adult Volleyball MONDAYS

Join this fun and competitive co-ed Volleyball program.  Come play pickup volleyball and sweat away those winter blues! 

Monday nights will be a bit more competitive and Thursdays will be a bit more relaxed.

Advanced Digital Photography

Calendar Next session starts Apr 4, 2019 at 6 pm, runs for 3 weeks

This class will start with a review of essential techniques from the basic class and would cover those materials in more depth.  Some new materials will also be introduced.  Plan on exploring specific types of photography based on input from the participants.  Possibilities include sports photography, night photography, composition techniques, etx.

Aerobics ~ Low Impact

A flowing yoga class with roots in Hatha Yoga,Tai Chi and Shiva Rea’s Advanced Vinyasa practices. Experience yoga through breath work and postures with attention to structural alignment. Modifications available for those with hip, knee, and back issues. Bring a water bottle, yoga mat and please wear comfortable clothing. 

 

America's Boating Course

with Capt. Ed Jones, Spruce Mountain Adult Education

Calendar Mar 13, 2019 at 5:30 pm, runs for 6 weeks

This course is designed to provide information on safe boating, piloting and navigation. It will include : required safety equipment, regulations, navigation aids, adverse conditions, anchoring, trailering, charts and much more.

Cost includes books and handouts. Certificates awarded.

America's Boating Course

with Dave Field, Orono-Hampden-Old Town Adult Ed Partnership

Calendar Apr 24, 2019 at 6:30 pm, runs for 5 weeks

This Penobscot Bay Sail & Power Squadron Course is designed to familiarize the student with the fundamentals of safe boating and to qualify for certification in most states that require boating education before operating a watercraft.

We'll talk about safety equipment, trip planning, navigation rules and aids, state and federal regulations, anchoring, emergencies, communications, trailering and knots/lines.

A $10.00 Power Squadron Fee will be payable to the instructor.

The course book can be also purchased (optional)from the instructor for $26.00.

Archery Hunter Safety

Calendar Mar 29, 2019 , runs for 2 weeks

Class meets Friday evening 3/29 from 6-9pm and Saturday 4/6 from 9am-4pm.

This archery education course will provide students with a wealth of knowledge regarding equipment, proper hunting methods, responsibilities and general safety. If you are not doing the online version, you must attend both classes. Passage of a final exam is required. You may bring something to eat and drink on Friday and Saturday and please be sure to bring a bag lunch and something to drink on Saturday.
