Heartsaver Basic First Aid (Dec)

This course certifies the student in several critical topics/skills needed to provide immediate lifesaving care for individuals who are dealing with a medical or injury emergency. It also covers environmental emergencies for the lay rescuer. This is an in-person class, and may be paired with the Heartsaver CPR course scheduled on the same day for a discounted price.

Getting News & Information Online
with National Digital Equity Center (NDEC), Ellsworth Adult and Community Education
With online content, we have a constant flow of information as well as misinformation. In this class, we will look at ways to determine "real" news from "fake" news and then discover how to find the news and information you want, using blogs, podcasts, online publications and much more.

Heartsaver CPR Adult/Child/Infant (Dec)

This course certifies the student in cardiopulmonary resuscitation skills for adults, infants, and children as well as choking protocols. It also teaches competency in both Automated External Defibrillator use and Narcan. This is an in-person class.
Candlelight Stroll
with Lynne Longworth, Wells-Ogunquit Adult Community Education
The trip is on Friday December 6, 3:30-9:00p.m. Travel back in time to Historic Strawberry bank while we take a candlelight tour of the period homes as well as costumed role players, explaining what the holidays were like back then and how they decorated their homes. After the tour we will be going for a sumptuous dinner. We will be leaving Wells at 3:30 and we will return to Wells approximately 9:00 p.m. Tour is limited to 08 The trip includes entry to the Candlelight Stroll and dinner and is $89.00 per person.
Stop the Bleed® (Dec)

The STOP THE BLEED® Interactive Course guides you through the three methods of bleeding control using video demonstrations, interactive learning, and spontaneous quizzes.
A bleeding injury can happen anywhere. We've all seen it happen too often—on the news or in everyday life. Life-threatening bleeding can happen in people injured in serious accidents or disasters. Instead of being a witness, you can become an immediate responder because you know how to STOP THE BLEED®.
The person next to a bleeding victim may very well be the one who’s most likely to save him or her from bleeding to death. By learning how to STOP THE BLEED®, you’ll gain the ability to recognize life-threatening bleeding, and act quickly and effectively to control bleeding once you learn three quick techniques.
Take the STOP THE BLEED® training course and become empowered to make a life or death difference when a bleeding emergency happens. This is an in-person class.
Womens Self-Defense
with Emma Wyatt, Noble Adult & Community Education
According to the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence (NCADV), 1 in 4 women have been victims of severe physical violence. In this 3-week class, black belt martial arts instructor, Emma Wyatt, will help you in learning not only about building confidence in how to defend yourself, but also about how to spot dangerous situations. Emma will also be giving students their own kubaton keyring, and showing them how they would use it if necessary.
