Gentle Beginner Hatha Yoga - 6 Week

Join us for a class in Hatha Yoga led by certified instructor, Nancy Cotty from Peace Within Yoga. Yoga is a great way to relax and improve your health and well being. The focus will be on stretching and breathing while building our strength and finding peace. All levels are welcome. Drop-ins are welcome and new students can join anytime. All equipment will be provided for you. Information learned through yoga classes and workshops should not be considered a substitute for medical advice.

Home Decor w/ Paper

This class focuses on how to brighten our homes with hand decorated paper. On the first evening we will learn to make our paste papers for the following classes. The second night we will create our pendant lights, and learn how to hang them, or set them on a desk top light fixture. Finally we will assemble our cone flower wreaths, which can be hung on any wall. A materials fee of $20 payable to the instructor is due on the first night. Tools will also be provided.
Oil Painting for Ultra Beginners

Stretch & Tone S1 TUESDAYS

This course is for people experiencing tight hips and low back discomfort , as well as active people and athletes. Tight hips impact knees and low back. Contributing factors are long periods of sitting which lock hips tight. We begin with simple stretches and breathwork for deep relaxation and progress as mobility increases. No experience is necessary, Bring a mat for floorwork.

This 60 minute, energetic, fun-filled dance fitness class features a fusion of easy to follow dance moves, resistance training, yoga and kickboxing, all choreographed to popular music! The class is designed for all fitness levels with safe and effective moves to give a total body workout! Students should bring a mat and weights. This course is designed for folks to discover and connect with the resources within your area to enrich your lives and the lives of those in your circle of relationships. This course is ideal for those who work as Direct Support Professionals, Behavior Health Professionals, Home Care Workers and new Mainers. You will be able to define community assets, create your own community assets map, and learn how to connect with those assets in your community. Discover your community in a relevant way!!! You will create your own community asset map to take home as a reference.
