Volleyball

Volleyball is starting up for the fall session. Classes start September 18 at 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm. This is a 10 week session and will end on December4.
Classes are not held on holidays or school cancellation days.

LOOKING FOR MSAD 52 Adult & Community Education Enrichment Instructors!
Seeking adults to teach Adult Enrichment Classes who have talent, skills, experience and passion to share with our community. Adult Enrichment offers a wide variety of activities for participants to select and engage in. These activities focus on providing enrichment through education involving lecture/discussion, hands-on learning, and the opportunity to meet like-minded people who share common interests.
PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Each Adult Education Enrichment class is personally designed by the instructor. Topics and goals for the class along with materials are also provided by the instructor. We do have a TV for sharing your presentations and or course content sharing.
2. Collaborate and communicate with the Adult Enrichment Coordinator on any specific technology or classroom needs for the class. This should be confirmed by the time the class is officially launched.
3. Provide instruction using knowledge of the various learning styles and needs of participants. Our classes are typically designed for beginners with a flexibility to accommodate those with some experience or knowledge.
4. Prepare materials for class activities.
5. Collaborate and distribute class evaluations to participants and work with the Adult Enrichment Coordinator regarding opportunities to improve content and ensure positive outcomes.
6. Monitor engagement of participants and ensure a safe and positive environment for learning.
7. You are provided a roster for attendance provided by MSAD 52 Adult & Community Education.
Share knowledge and experience with others in a clear way that is positive, comprehendible, and has the capacity to inspire continued learning on the topic.
Pass a background check
Arrive early for setup and be dependable to deliver class content as agreed upon.
Communicate with participants and the community in a positive and responsive way that is consistently welcoming and enhances positive outcomes. If any negative situation occurs prior to class, please bring that issue to the Community Education staff rather than share in class with the public.
Demonstrate an appreciation of diversity in all interactions and job functions.
Display good verbal, digital and written communication skills.
Communicate in a timely manner with the Adult Enrichment Coordinator if questions or requests for information arise.

Silent Book Club
with MACE Staff, Massabesic Adult and Community Education
Bring your own book and join us for a different type of book club. Meet fellow readers and socialize for the first half hour, and then enjoy some quality time reading. The last half hour will be spent socializing and sharing what you’ve been reading.
Pickleball
with Leah Bradstreet, MSAD 53 Adult and Community Education
Pickleball is starting up Thursday, September 19 from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm. This is a ten week class that ends December 5.
There are no classes on holidays and if there is a school cancellation due to a storm there will be no pickleball classes held.
Fee of $25 can be paid the first night of class or through Coursestorm with a credit card.

Accounting Fundamentals
Demand for accounting professionals currently exceeds supply. If you're interested in increasing your financial awareness and accountability while also gaining a marketable skill, this course is for you. You'll learn the basics of double-entry bookkeeping, while also learning how to analyze and record financial transactions, as well as prepare various financial reports at the end of the fiscal period. Accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll procedures, sales taxes, and various common banking activities will be discussed. Accounting Fundamentals II
While it is true that accounting professionals are scarce, those with corporate accounting experience are even more rare. This course will build on the knowledge you gained in our Accounting Fundamentals course to provide you with a solid understanding of corporate accounting practices. You'll be able to analyze transactions and prepare various corporate financial reports. You'll also gain practical experience working with dividends, plant assets, depreciation, accrued revenue and expenses, retained earnings, stockholders' equity, and more.
