Let's Mandala Rock Paint
with Bette Kersting Bell, Wells-Ogunquit Adult Community Education

Participants will have an opportunity to paint 1 to 3 rocks using the circular Mandala Rock Painting method. From as far back as the 4th century, circular mandalas have been used to combine artwork and meditation. All materials provided including instructions.
BIO: As a retired educator with a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction, Bette Kersting Bell now teaches creative activities that have useful outcomes. These experiential workshops happen at schools, libraries, community settings or conferences. Wherever learning takes place, it will always be fun, hands-on, and have a useful product. WATERCOLOR S1 - Beginner
with Russel Whitten, Wells-Ogunquit Adult Community Education

Learn and practice a variety of techniques and approaches specific to watercolor painting. Whether a beginner or experienced, enjoy a relaxing and supportive environment to paint from references, still life objects and observation. You will receive feedback and see what others are working on. Bring ideas for projects to class for instruction tailored to your needs, or participate in guided exercises to gain a deeper understanding of this medium. You may bring your own supplies, if you prefer to purchase your own supplies, please request a materials list at registration.
INSTRUCTOR: Russel Whitten studied Fine Arts and Art Education at Heartwood College of Art, Maine College of Art and Art Student League in New York. He is a member and showing artist with the Ogunquit Arts Association/Barn Gallery and The Wright Gallery in Cape Porpoise. Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens

Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens is a people’s garden, a grassroots effort that began as a casual conversation between friends and evolved into the largest botanical garden in New England. Lunch is available at the Kitchen Garden Café, at the Market on-site or bring your own lunch. Tai Chi For Life

This gentle program was designed by Dr Paul Lamb MD - family physician, as a “gateway” for mature adults to have the opportu-nity to taste the fruit of Tai Chi, keeping in mind those who have not started their Tai Chi journey. Anyone can learn this programand improve their balance, strength, and health, and enjoy a betterquality of life. Please wear loose and comfortable clothing and flatbottom shoes.

PLEASE NOTE: Parents are required to attend the last 45 minutes of the first class AND participate in a ride-along with your child for the last hour of their 10 hour driving lessons requirement.

Are you between ages 15 and 19 and want your State of Maine permit to prepare for your driving exam? We offer driver education courses to help build strong, safe, and confident drivers. Students are awarded an instructional permit upon successful completion of the course with a grade of 80 percent or better. Only employee discounts are allowed, but you must call to register. If the student has a medical condition, please contact the office or click on the link below as an additional medical form is required. Total hours of instruction is 40; 30 classroom and 10 driving. Full payment of $575 is required at the time of registration. If a student withdraws from the course, $75 is withheld from the refund to cover program costs. Only employee discounts for this class. Please bring your birth certificate or passport to the first class and a pen to every class as well as glasses for your eye exam, if you wear them.
