Join me for a journey to being the BEST U 4 life! This is a group for anyone who wants to become the best version of  themselves at any age, weight or fitness level. This will be an interactive experience where you will get hypnosis and coaching combined, questions and answers, discussions, sharing, tips and tricks and accountability. Everyone will get a workbook with materials to support everything covered in the class. This will be REALISTIC and EASY, we will work A LOT on MINDSET and help you break through barriers that have constantly set you back from feeling your best. My intention is to create a community of wellness that is supported authentically and realistically, no restricting, no dieting, no rigorous exercise while eliminating the emotional drain all of those failed strategies have caused. A private online support group will be available for anyone attending. 

Drumming & Percussion

Calendar Oct 14, 2020 at 6 pm, runs for 6 weeks

Master drummer/multi-instrumentalist Kevin Campbell will teach traditional West African and South American rhythms on a wide variety of drums and percussion instruments, ie. djembe, dunun, gourd shakers and balafon. In addition, he will combine specific hand drumming techniques with accompanying songs and percussion complements. Participants are encouraged to bring their own instruments.  All levels of experience and non-experience are welcome.

WOODWORKING

This class is designed for beginners and/or experienced woodworkers. You will have the opportunity to either: 1) bring your own personal project with which you want help, or 2) decide on a new project at 1st class. There are many finishing techniques available for your desired effect of each project. Beginner level class time and eperienced level class time will stagger to accommodate for individual needs, to be decided at the 1st class. You will learn the safe and correct use of various wood working machines and complete a desired project.

Androscoggin Home Healthcare and Hospice, a non-profit organization, is looking for hospice volunteers to provide companionship to patients and respite for family members. During training you will learn the history and philosophy of hospice, family dynamics, spirituality, communication, adult disease process and other end-of-life issues. Training includes both classroom time and online training. Volunteers are asked to make a 1-year commitment 2-4 hours per week. 

Ukulele for Beginners

The ukulele has captured hearts and minds in Maine and around the world! Come join our beginners’ class and share in the joy. The ukulele is versatile and easy to play (if you regularly practice!). You will learn essentials including basic chord positions, strumming techniques and picking styles. This class will give you the tools to play with groups or solo and you don’t have to know how to read music. You must have a soprano, concert, or tenor size ukulele (no baritones, please) and an electronic tuner. If you don’t have a uke, let us know when you register and we’ll provide information about how and where to buy one to fit your budget. Learn to play the ukulele. Stimulate your mind and light up your world! Students need to be 18 or older.

This class will be Virtual through ZOOM. Level 1 French is perfect for students who have no experience with the language. This class focuses on the basics of greetings, grammar, culture and food. Podcasts for practicing pronuncation to help students practice outside the classroom are also available. Regular conversation during the class helps to reinforce practical use of the language for beginners.

Compassionate Integrity Training is a resiliency-based program that cultivates human values as skills so we can thrive as individuals and a society, within a healthy environment. When we learn how to calm our bodies and minds, deal effectively with our emotions, and relate to others with dignity and compassion, we have the ability to create a better world. CIT focuses on and builds toward compassionate integrity: the ability to live one’s life in accordance with one’s values with a recognition of common humanity, our basic orientation to kindness and reciprocity. The CIT Program is designed to improve your individual well-being, relationships with others, and engagement with the world by increasing your ability to practice the skills. We will participate in large and small group discussions, experiential learning activities, reflective writing, mindful dialogue, and contemplative practices.
