This Spring semester you can be playing songs on your guitar in just a few classes! We will discuss guitar technique as we practice learning a few basic chords and strumming patterns, which are all detailed in my book for reference as you practice at home on your own between classes. We'll actually play songs as part of our class. You will also discover how to read music in standard notation and guitar tablature! So, get some new strings, maybe a songbook, and start practicing (even if you don't know what you're doing). Make sure to bring lots of enthusiasm and questions about guitar! This Spring semester, in our Singing Class, we will focus on concepts such as accuracy of pitch, projection, pronunciation, and personal style. We will have fun singing songs in parts (SATB) while discussing vocal production to help you become a stronger, more confident singer. We need male/low pitch voices … We usually have more ladies than men, so if you're a bit shy about signing up, know that others are shy, too. Come discover the capabilities of your own voice!
