Don Pride is a professional musician, teacher and composer who plays throughout the United States. He is a member of the Portland Jazz Orchestra and leads The Don Pride Band. Don teaches at the University of Southern Maine, St. Joseph’s College, the Portland Conservatory of Music and in his private studio.

Rivera, Dancer, choreographer and personal trainer from Puerto Rico with over 20 years of experience, living in Maine since 2013. Trained in Ballet, Jazz, HipHop, Contemporary and Salsa.  Luis has performed in multiple national and international competitions/exhibitions, latest one being the Miami Salsa Congress 2023.

This class introduces couples to basic ballroom dance skills that will teach them to look great dancing, and help them enjoy a night out, or prepare them for special events like weddings and anniversaries. Requirement: a dancing partner. Class payment is per person.

We'll learn some easy line dances that use a variety of steps, including pop, Latin, hiphop, soul, and country/western. Be prepared for wicked, synchronized dancing fun, and get great exercise for the body and mind. All ages welcome (18+ only); no experience necessary, but some ability to count musical beats is helpful.
