This online course introduces learners to Agile methods of project management. Beginning with an introduction to the core philosophy of Agile and the basic structure of an Agile project, the following modules address specific challenges that may be encountered by teams using Agile, best practices for integrating Agile methods into Waterfall environments, and the principles of Scrum, one of several specialized Agile methods. The self-paced course offers an assortment of interactive exercises, videos, selected readings, case studies, and self-assessments that engage students and provide opportunities to practice their project management skills in an Agile context.

This course is intended to provide professionals who have some technical experience an overview of the application development process, how it applies to cloud computing, and the prevalent security concerns related to today's applications. It is not a software engineering course and does not require any programming knowledge. The content of this course covers much of the Application Security domain developed by the (ISC)2 and Cloud Security Alliance as part of the Cloud Computing Security Practitioner (CCSP) exam and certification. Further, the course also incorporates content that may be found on the CompTIA Cloud+ exam. As such, it should serve as useful preparation for anyone pursuing these certifications.

When you download an app, or access a database, you want to trust that the software engineer who developed the app had an eye toward security. This course covers the security of applications, data, and hosts in information systems. It provides a comprehensive examination of software development and change management. This course also features a number of fictional scenarios based on real-world application, data, and host security. Although not required, having some experience or working knowledge in IT concepts is helpful in taking this course.

Our community is looking for individuals who want to make a difference in a child’s life. Children’s Behavioral Health Services are vital to Maine’s children with Intellectual Disabilities, Autism and Mental Health Disorders and their families. And the need in our area is great! As an integral part of the child’s treatment team, a Certified Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) has the opportunity to make an immediate impact while helping a child grow and develop to their full potential. We are excited to connect our community to this wonderful ONLINE training program. The online training will equip you to help children who are receiving Behavioral Health services. The training will prepare you for employment through local social services agencies. The program can be started at any time and finished at your own pace. You will complete 12 online modules and 12 hours of live instruction (offered virtually). An online Bloodborne Pathogens training, as well as Child & Adult First Aid & CPR training, will be made available to you, if you do not already possess those certifications. The entire training takes about 45 hours to complete. Registration is ongoing until December 31, 2023.

Any individual who will be 18 years of age or older upon completion of the course, may register. (Individuals must be at least 18 and have a high school diploma or equivalent to get certified.)

This training will equip you to successfully help children who are currently on a wait list for services and will prepare you for employment through local social services agencies. The program can be started at any time and finished at your own pace before June 30, 2024.

You will complete 12 online modules then three 4-hour live (in-person or virtual) sessions. Once the modules are completed, you will receive free online bloodborne pathogen training and child and adult First Aid & CPR certification. In just 40 hours, our free remote training program can get you certified and on your way to a life-changing profession. Must be a Maine resident, and at least 18 years old with a high school diploma (or equivalency) to become certified.

About Woodfords Family Services: The agency provides an array of clinical, behavioral health and educational programs to more than 1,500 children, youth and adults living with autism, developmental disabilities, intellectual disabilities and/or mental health diagnoses across the state.
