Clinical Medical Assistant
with Academy of Medical Professions, RSU 19 Adult Education
An all-inclusive, 16-week program that includes in-person skills labs and live via Zoom class meetings that prepare you to pass the National Certification. Upon completion of the program, you will sit for your CCMA (Certified Clinical Medical Assistant) national certification exam through NHA. Your cost includes national certification, 6 practice exams, online study guide materials, books, resume assistance, and all other associated fees. Externships may be available in your area. Payment plans are available.

Comptia + TestOut

CompTIA+TestOut provides computer skills and information technology (IT) certifications and training that can be completed from any location and with any device.
The online learning system uses videos, articles, and interactive simulations where learners can practice and apply their skills for real-world settings and prepares individuals for CompTIA certifications and other IT exams.
Individual lessons are short so students can fit learning into the rest of their lives. Courses can take 20-100 hours to complete and students have an entire calendar year to complete work for credit.

Creativity in Teams and Organizations

Spurring creativity in teams can be very challenging, but could also be the difference between a successful team and an unsuccessful one. This course looks at spurring creativity and innovation in teams and organizations. Drawing on the latest academic thinking, it outlines the key factors for creative teams. Further, the course focuses on tools and techniques designed to yield more productive thinking in collective settings. Participants learn about a number of targeted tools, including brainstorming, Discussion 66, Provocation, and others, to generate fresh thinking in smaller group settings and in their organizations.

Credit Recovery Classes - Core Subjects
with Washington County Adult & Community Education
Credit recovery classes are for adult learners who may have faced learning disruptions and need to take a specific class in order to meet graduation requirements for their high school credential.
Maine requires all students to learn a minimum number credits, years, or other equivalent in standards achievement in graduate:
A. English--4 years;
B. Social studies, American history, government, civics and personal finance--2 years;
C. Mathematics--2 years;
D. Science, including at least one year of laboratory study--2 years; and
E. Fine arts --one year.
We offer these classes on a case by case basis. Our credit recovery program provides course work that students can be completed independently online, in-person, or a hybrid with person-in and online class time.
All students receive individual learning plans to help them meet their educational goals.
