Stitch & Smile: Embroidery Studio with Crafty Stitch

All skill levels are welcome in this relaxed four-week embroidery studio! Whether you're brand new to stitching or already deep into a project, this is the perfect place to create, learn, and connect. Bring a project from home or purchase a beginner-friendly kit from the instructor. Guidance and encouragement will be available every step of the way.
If you would like to buy a kit for the class, kit fees are $25 each and is payable to the instructor the first night of class. You can choose from the following kits;

ZUMBA Session 3 & 4

Robin's Zumba® classes have been running strong for over 16 years through the Wells Ogunquit Adult Ed. Zumba® is dance exercise for people who don't consider themselves dancers but love to dance. The hour flies by and you will get a great workout. Robin uses fun, high energy music and the moves are basic and repeated enough times so that you really know them. Yoga: All Levels

Yoga is one of the oldest "holistic" health-care systems in existence, focusing on both the mind and body. Through the practice of yoga postures and breath work, you can connect with your body and mind and discover your spirit; yoga is the art of listening to all parts of your Self. Hatha yoga postures linked with the breath have a powerful effect on all systems of the body providing the energy to age gracefully, stay fit, improve circulation and posture, loosen and lengthen knotty muscles, reduce stress, increase bone density, and promote relaxation at the end of the day. Please bring a yoga mat. Recommended props include a cushion and/or yoga blanket, blocks, bolster, and strap. *No Class: 11/26 & 2/18. **Please bring your own mat.
Paint Night: Black Crow

A bird that will eat almost anything is the perfect subject to paint this Halloween. Glossy black iridescent plumage is possible to paint with just a few brush strokes. In this class you will learn to paint feathers by layering and dry brushing. No Prior experience is necessary; Shirley welcomes beginners with open arms. Whether you’re a seasoned artist or picking up a brush for the first time you’ll find this to be a fun and engaging class. Canvas and paints are supplied.

Learn to Sew a Basic Wardrobe
with Susan Ellis, Merrymeeting Community & Adult Education

Classes cover sewing basics like the tools you’ll need to get started, threading a needle, sewing by hand, and how to purchase and use a machine as well as how to choose and use a sewing pattern to put together a wardrobe of basic clothing pieces. We’ll make a drawstring bag in class, and a simple piece of clothing. There is a $45 tools and materials fee payable to the instructor on the first night of class (includes fabric and pattern for your bag but not for the clothing piece). *No Class: 11/27.

Stretch & Tone S4 THURSDAYS
with Judith Stark, Wells-Ogunquit Adult Community Education

This course is for people experiencing tight hips and low back discomfort , as well as active people and athletes. Tight hips impact knees and low back. Contributing factors are long periods of sitting which lock hips tight. We begin with simple stretches and breathwork for deep relaxation and progress as mobility increases. No experience is necessary, Bring a mat for floorwork.

Relief Printmaking - Holiday Cards

In this class, students will develop a basic understanding of the relief printmaking processes. Students will learn to design and develop a single color relief print. The resulting prints will be used to create holiday cards.
A materials fee of $8 is due at the start of class to the instructor.
