This is an online course.

Have you ever wanted to learn the guitar but simply find it difficult to find the time?  

In just a few hours you can learn enough about playing the guitar to give you years of musical enjoyment, and you won't have to take private lessons to do it.  This crash course will teach you some basic chords and get you playing along with your favorite songs right away. 

Fee includes the online book, online follow up lessons, a recording of the class and also an optional periodic questions and answer session.  Class is held online using zoom and is partly hands-on instruction and partly lecture/demonstration.  For ages 13+

Photography Basics - Make Your Camera Work for You!

By focusing first on what you see and then on how to capture your own vision of what’s before you, you’ll be well on the road to making your camera and all its features work for you.  It’s easier  than you might think, if you’re ready to explore how you see what’s around you!

The class is a combination of evening class sessions, field trips and work on your own between sessions.  Key to your success will be making time between sessions to put into practice what you have learned.  You don’t need a fancy camera for this course, whatever device you have on hand will be just right. 

This course is designed for people experienced in taking photos, with a knowledge of the features of their camera and the ability to share their photos. This is an in-person class; makeup class, if needed, 12/04/24.

George Blumenschein, Sr., a landscape photography veteran with over 20 years of expertise, skillfully captures the world's beauty through his seasoned lens. His images, frozen moments in time, transport viewers to awe-inspiring landscapes, showcasing a deep appreciation for nature's wonders.

Moira Rascati, a graduate of Culinary Institute of America in NY, has been a professional chef for 40+ years and at Joseph's by the Sea in Old Orchard Beach for more than 30. She is currently an instructor at SMCC in their culinary arts and nutrition programs.

Elder is the perfect tree to invite in for this festival because it is a tree of endings and beginnings. Meet the trees and plants associated with the eight Celtic festivals that celebrate and honor the Earth’s seasons, including the summer and winter solstices. Amy is passionate about nature, plants and all things connected to Mother Earth. Officially she’s a Naturalist, Garden Coach, Horticulturist, Educator, and the enthusiastic, Nature Spirit guided, Director of Earth Walkers.
