Divination Salon Series: Bibliomancy

There’s more to the art of divination than just Tarot cards and crystal balls. Learn something new in this Divination Salon Series and try your hand at some other unique forms of divination in this series of a la carte salons. Bibliomancy is divination by books, lyrics and letters. Bring your favorite inspirational book: songbooks, sacred texts, short stories and poetry anthologies are great choices. You can even bring a newspaper or magazine. We will try out several forms of bibliomancy and you’ll go home with a personal oracle message.

This gentle class is for those looking to stretch, connect to the breath and practice traditional yoga postures, at a slow pace. We gently and safely encourage our muscle tissues to deeply lengthen and stretch, increasing range of motion and flexibility. Conscious intention and awareness are given to the breath, strengthening the nervous system and deepening the connection to mind and body. This class is designed for new, as well as, seasoned yogis looking for a mindful, gentle practice

Hampden--Intermediate Watercolor

Intermediate level (some basic watercolor experience required)

In this class you'll get all the tools you need to take your watercolor paintings to the next level. We will cover drawing for a painting, composition, and how to create a finished painting. This class is designed to challenge you as an artist. Come in with your ideas and see them come to life in this exciting class. You will walk away more confident and skilled in creating beautiful scenes, still lives and portraits.

Materials Needed :

  • Set of watercolor paints (tube)
  • Paint brushes in a variety of sizes with at least one around an inch wide.
  • Cup for water
  • Paper Towels
  • Blow Dryer
  • 9x12 140lb Canson Watercolor Paper
  • Pencils
  • Masking tape
  • Artist Board
  • Micron pens
  • Optional: Easel, apron or paint shirt, box or bag to carry everything in, colored pencils, markers, and anything else you like to create with.

Join us as we paint layers of wood to make a true art statement!  We have chosen a variety of designs for the year.  Choose your favorites and let's start creating some magic!

Classes are between $30 - $50.  Once you register you will receive an email with the payment information for paypal.

We are limited to 10 students per class.  You will need to bring Aleen's Tacky Glue to class with you.  Everything else is provided.

Come learn easy makeup tips that give you an enhanced, natural appearance! Together with the instructor, you'll identify your face, eye, and lip shapes then we'll teach you makeup application techniques to enhance your features.

STUDENTS ARE REQUIRED TO BRING MAKEUP TO APPLY DURING CLASS ALONG WITH A SMALL MIRROR.

Owner of Radiant Image, Candace is a personal stylist helping women look and feel good by teaching them how to dress for their clothing, body proportions, and face shape. She specializes in women over 40 and provides her services virtually and at her studio in Auburn, Maine. Candace also offers a variety of interactive, in-person, or virtual group classes for 4-15 people for private groups as well as through local Adult Education programs.

Prosperity & Good Fortune: Chinese Wonton Dumplings - NEW!

Please note the date of this class was changed from Jan. 21 to May 6.

We will be making Chinese dumplings with pork filling made from scratch in this class. You will learn the multiple styles of folding dumplings using wonton wrappers, then we boil the wonton to make classic wonton soup or chili oil wonton. Additionally, we’ll learn to make our own Sichuan-style chili oil and learn about other common Chinese condiments used for dipping sauces. All ingredients, materials, equipment, and recipes will be provided. Plant-based ground meat can be substituted for pork upon request. Dumpling wrappers include gluten.
