Fountains in Genealogy Research
with Craig Siulinski, Westbrook Adult Education
This course covers basic genealogy concepts for researching and documenting one's ancestors. What is a genealogy brick wall and how do you break it? This course will offer key ideas on solving even the toughest research barriers.
Topics include: general ideas to get started, where and how to find key genealogy records, paper and digital organization strategies, using online databases and resources, where to go in the community to research family history. One class meeting may include a field trip to a research site.
Craig Siulinski is an experienced educator and writer, as well as an avid researcher and genealogist. He holds a Master of Science degree in Education from Cal State University East Bay (CSUEB), and a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from the University of Southern Maine (USM).Researching and writing family histories have been among Craig's passions since 2007. In addition to teaching writing and genealogy courses, Craig does presentations on blogging, location research, family history writing and his newest talks: Franco Americans: From Quebec to New England andThe Early 20th Century Experience of Polish Immigrants to New York.

Adult coloring books have become popular over the past few years and for good reason. Coloring is creative, relaxing, and fun. Join Ann in exploring a variety of types of crayons to include basic, pastel, oil, and watercolor crayons, and/or colored pencils as well as colors from mild to wild and everything in between. Draw your own picture or color a prepared one. So many colors, so little time! Please pre-register as a minimum of 4 people is required to run the course.

Beginners & ALL Levels Welcome!
Explore hand drumming through the traditional music of Guinea, West Africa. Alongside your fellow students and Master Village Drummer Namory Keita, play patterns and rhythms. Fun and engaging, Namory's remarkable style unites all levels in a community experience and is fun and engaging—a not to be missed experience!
Required: Proof of registration. Djembe, Ashiko, Conga or other hand drum.
Note: Some rentals are available at $5/drum, payable to instructor in class. Please reserve your drum by emailing info@namorydrum.com after you register.
Master Village Drummer Namory Keita is in high demand! He is an accomplished teacher and performer with a distinctive style and a depth of traditional knowledge that is extremely hard to find outside of the Guinean villages where he was born. His assets include his extraordinary talent for captivating any audience and his connections to local and international drummers and dancers.

Paranormal Investigation Fundraiser
with Paranormal Five, Biddeford Adult Education
Paranormal Five is hosting a fundraiser for Biddeford Adult Education. Come and investigate with Maine paranormal investigators. See how paranormal investigating is done in real life versus what you see on TV. You will be able to see equipment and be able to see a different side to the J. Richard Martin Community Center. The building is extremely interesting with spirits that love to chat and let you know they are there. We cannot guarantee paranormal activity but any experience that you may have during the investigation is a real experience.

Lincoln Memorial In remembrance of former President Abraham Lincoln and the great nation he fought to preserve during the Civil War. Vietnam Veterans Memorial Dedicated to the more than 58,000 men and women killed or missing in Vietnam. Join us for the basics for those new to the game and absolute beginners. Learn the rules of scoring, court basics, the non-volley zone, common terms, faults, hot tips, and serving—the most significant difference from tennis. Students will be notified of weather location change the morning of class.
Required: Proof of registration, pickleball paddle and ball (approx. $15–$40 on Amazon, deals for packs of 2 paddles), active wear, weather-appropriate clothing, tennis shoes, and water.
Andra Yanchenko specializes in fitness, functional movement, and racquet sports. She is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, ACE Health Coach, USTA, USPTA, PTR Coach, and YogaFit Instructor.
