New to Gardening in Maine
with John Fromer, Mid-Coast School of Technology Adult Education
Maine can be a challenging place to garden. Our season is short, our soil is questionable and if we didn't have rocks, we wouldn't have anything to stand on! Still, Maine is a wonderful place to garden. Come to this class to learn what we can grow and when, where to find resources, how to get a soil test, and what gardening by the sea is like. Learn about our native plants, weather cycles, soils, pests, and local resources. It will be a good place to start, so bring your questions!

Cookie Decorating w/ Baked by Cam S4
with Casey Marsh, Wells-Ogunquit Adult Community Education
Come learn how to decorate sugar cookies with me! Because of the demand and popularity of the decorated sugar cookies I have decided to teach a beginners class on how to decorate. I will provide 6 cookies and royal icing for decorating. Each month will have a different theme that I have preplanned. (September-fall, October- Halloween, November-Thanksgiving, December- Christmas) This is a beginners class so everyone is welcome! Check out my website at bakedbycam.com
Instructor: Casey Marsh - Casey fell in love with baking years ago while baking annual Christmas cookies with her mother and grandmother. She has always been a creative and artistic person (who also LOVES to feed people) so it only made sense that she start a business doing just that! She is a fully licensed home baker. She completed the baking and pastry associates program at York County Community College, but the majority of her skills are self taught.

with George Blumenschein, Sr., Ellsworth Adult and Community Education
If you're a photographer who would like to make a difference in your community, then this meeting might be right for you. Join George Blumenshein to discuss ways to make this happen. He participated in just such a program out west and would like to brainstorm with local folks to explore the possibility of doing the same in our community. Taking portraits of homeless families, and shelter animals looking for placement are examples of projects done elsewhere. This is an in-person class.
George Blumenschein Sr., a landscape photography veteran with over 20 years of expertise, skillfully captures the world's beauty through his seasoned lens. His images, frozen moments in time, transport viewers to awe-inspiring landscapes, showcasing a deep appreciation for nature's wonders.
