In this course, learners will develop a greater understanding of the basic bookkeeping and accounting functions that the software enables. The course content focuses on mastering the fundamental tasks performed in QuickBooks®, including setting up a company file and chart of accounts, entering customer and vendor information, recording sales, creating invoices, managing payables and receivables, creating and customizing reports, and using the Audit Log.

Note: To complete the exercises in this course, learners will need to set up their own access to the QuickBooks® Online platform. A subscription to QuickBooks® Online is not included with this course.

Loaner laptops are provided for the duration of the class so that all students may have access to a Windows 10 device at home. This second part to the Welcome to Medicare course will cover the most used tool Medicare.Gov, the eMedicare Plan Finder.  This online web portal allows you to search approved Medicare Advantage plans (MAPS) and all the Prescription Drug Plans (PDPs) that are available to you in your area by name, lowest cost, and more.  This course will also show you how to create your own My Medicare account with an in-depth review of the features and functionality of the eMedicare Plan Finder.  This course is generously offered free of charge by the Southern Maine Agency on Aging, donations to SMAA are always gratefully accepted.  Only one section is required.
