You will have the opportunity to either: 1) bring your own personal project with which you want help, or 2) decide on a new project at 1st class. There are many finishing techniques available for your desired effect of each project. Beginner level class time and eperienced level class time will stagger to accommodate for individual needs, to be decided at the 1st class. You will learn the safe and correct use of various wood working machines and complete a desired project.

Does the A, B, C and D “Alphabet Soup” of Medicare feel overwhelming? Medicare, begun in 1965, is the US health plan available to qualified people aged 65 and older, as well as some disabled people below age 65. This overview reviews the way Medicare covers inpatient, outpatient and prescription drug costs, explains enrollment periods and reviews the types of products designed to partner with Medicare, including supplement plans, Medicare Advantage plans and prescription drug plans. This seminar will be informative for current beneficiaries, people beginning Medicare, and the adult, children, or loved ones of Medicare beneficiaries. Students need to be 18 or older.

Incidents of fraud are on the rise, and scammers’ tactics are becoming more complex. This presentation will help give you the information you need to Outsmart the Scammers. During the program, we’ll discuss how to spot different red flags that may indicate a fraudulent encounter, resources individuals can turn to in the event they or loved ones are targeted, and steps attendees can take to help protect themselves and loved ones.

Androscoggin Home Healthcare and Hospice, a non-profit organization, is looking for hospice volunteers to provide companionship to patients and respite for family members. During training you will learn the history and philosophy of hospice, family dynamics, spirituality, communication, adult disease process and other end-of-life issues. Training includes both classroom time and online training. Volunteers are asked to make a 1-year commitment 2-4 hours per week.

This class will be Virtual through ZOOM. Level 1 French is perfect for students who have no experience with the language. This class focuses on the basics of greetings, grammar, culture and food. Podcasts for practicing pronuncation to help students practice outside the classroom are also available. Regular conversation during the class helps to reinforce practical use of the language for beginners.
