This ZOOM class takes a thousand-foot view of estate planning and the probate process in Maine. Topics discussed include trusts, wills, powers of attorney, MaineCare and elder law issues, probate, and what you should do to put your "house in order".

A binder of information will be available before the class begins. You will receive an email when these are available for pick-up at MDI Adult Ed or the SWH library.

Tim Stanley is an MDI native and an associate attorney working with the law firm of Jones, Kuriloff & Sargent, LLC. Tim works primarily in estate planning, trust administration, probate and elder law.

This live, instructor-led Intuit-approved course, is a Microsoft Office Suite course using official course material for Windows 10 desktop geared for beginning/intermediate users. Students will learn to navigate one of the most widely used accounting software applications for small businesses. QuickBooks is an enormous aid in paying bills, invoicing, tracking expenses, paying sales tax and creating reports to better manage a small business or company. This course provides the MOS certification pathway (no expiration) for interested students, and they may elect to take the official exam here at our Certiport testing facility, when ready. Loaner laptops are provided for the duration of the class so that all students may have access to a Windows 10 device at home.
