Dichroic Glass Jewelry - MS

Dichroic Glass Jewelry is totally unique and totally beautiful! Instructor, Carmela Patriotti will show you how to stack layers of metal oxides that are then heated to melt them together to form a translucent glass. When finished, the jewelry will display different colors depending on the angle of light. See our website to view pictures of some of the instructors finished pieces. The Adult Education office will notify you to arrange a pick-up time for your finished glass jewelry approximately two weeks after the class session. There will be a $95 materials fee (cash or check only) due to the instructor at the start of class. Limit 20 students.

Drilled Beach Stone: Necklace and Key Ring

Learn to turn beach stones into beautiful one of a kind necklaces and key rings by safely drilling beach stones, setting grommets and attaching jump rings. At the end of class, you will have 2 necklaces and 1 key ring. Choose from prepared stones that Susan will provide. If time allows additional materials may be purchased to make more items.

Class 5 in the "Let's Get Ready to GARDEN" series

Have you been wanting to start a garden but aren't sure how to get started? Have your prior attempts at growing turned brown? If you've gardened before or not, would you like to plan your garden with a group of fellow plant and dirt lovers?

We will savor seed catalogs and packets, discuss various options for planting and garden design for whatever your situation. We will plan for starting seeds, purchasing plants, and transplanting. The class will cover the basics of garden care through the growing season, address individual questions/situations, and provide resources for you to continue your gardening adventures. There may even be some seedling swapping and a forum for celebrations and support outside of class.

Class 5 will go over:
Seedlings! Care and Planning for Planting


• Check in on their started seeds. Any challenges will be discussed
   for problem solving.
• Learn about direct seeding (outdoors).
• Learn about transitioning their seedlings outdoors.
• Develop a plan for their own growing spaces considering plant size
   at maturity, growing habits and plant needs.

Participants will be provided with Extension Office recommended practices for garden safety and hygiene and information the county Extension office and resources (soil testing, pest id, and more).

What better way to take care of yourself or a loved one than creating your aromatherapy care package?  From bath salts, pillow sprays, bath bombs, and tea blends, there is something for everyone, and these make-and-takes are a great way to create your own spa experience from the comfort of your own home.  

Adding bath salts can stimulate circulation, ease muscle cramps, help relieve stiffness in joints, aid with arthritis or back pain, and soothe achy, overworked legs and feet.

Learn how to make your self-care treat.

Materials fee of $8 (CASH) for the instructor to pay for materials.

Materials to bring: a glass measuring cup (at least 2 cups) plus a spatula or spoon for stirring.

The Enneagram & Self-Awareness: An Introduction
