ELL LEVEL 1

ENTRY LEVEL LITERACY AND ORAL COMMUNICATION focuses on Learning the English alphabet and sound-letter association, basic grammatical structures, punctuation, and vocabulary. We will teach oral communication (listening and speaking skills) for basic and survival needs in American culture.
ELL LEVEL 3

INTERMEDIATE LEVEL LITERACY AND ORAL COMMUNICATION
This class focuses on oral communication, reading, and writing proficiency. It develops vocabulary; builds on grammatical skills and crafting simple paragraphs. It introduces text analysis, comprehension, and oral presentations.
English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)
with Sandy Warren, Lake Region & Fryeburg Area Adult Education
If English is not your first language and you need some help improving your skills for work or personal development, join us for our ESOL classes. Student instruction will be based on CASAS test scores to make sure each student is working on English skills and activities that are at the right level and will benefit them the most. Students must call our office at 627-4291 to make an appointment for testing and placement. Rolling admission.

English Language Learning-Beginning (Morning Session)
with TBA, Ellsworth Adult Education
English Language Learning Practical instruction and practice in listening, speaking, reading, writing and grammar. The class format is flexible enough to meet individual needs. An introductory meeting will determine the most appropriate level. The beginning level is for those with little or no English speaking experience, with a concentration on learning to speak the language with confidence. No class 02/18, 02/20, 04/21 or 04/23.

Citizenship and ELL Civics Education - Section II

Improve English speaking, reading and writing skills with a civics focus while preparing for the Naturalization test. Mini lessons developed to cover topics ranging from American Government, American History, Geography, and Rights and Responsibilities of U.S. Citizens. No classes 2/19, 4/22.

Computers for ESOL

Being comfortable with technology is necessary in our personal and professional lives. This class is for students with beginner-level understanding of computers and other tools of technology. Instructor Bill Keller uses his teaching and technology expertise to help students improve their computer literacy skills and become comfortable with technology.
