English Language Learning

Free

with EAE Team, Ellsworth Adult Education

This program assists adults who are not native English speakers with practical instruction and practice in listening, speaking, reading, writing skills and grammar, with online and in person options.

Instruction is designed to meet learners’ needs and may include helping participants with such important tasks as exploring how to talk with their child’s teacher, scheduling healthcare appointments, completing grocery shopping, obtaining a driver’s license, finding employment, learning about other valuable community resources or pursuing citizenship.

Students can enter the program at any time and there is no charge for instruction. Learners at all levels of English proficiency are welcome. Small group classes and individual tutoring are available daytime and evening hours.  Live online or in person.

The first step is an introductory meeting with a student advisor who will share information about the options for learning and help you to find the best fit.  If you are interested in our English Language Learning program, please register and we will contact you!  You may also call or email us for an appointment - call us at 207.664.7110 or email us at adultedinfo@ellsworthschools.org.  We can’t wait to hear from you!
