Volunteer at Marshwood Adult Education!

College Prep Math

This class will provide individualized instruction to help you learn/improve your math skills to succeed in everyday life, the workplace, and/or prepare you for college! Computers for ESOL and ABE

Becoming comfortable with technology is necessary in our personal and professional lives. This class is for students with beginner-level understanding of computers and other tools of technology. The goal is for students to improve their computer literacy skills and become comfortable with technology. This class is offered virtually and in-person as needed. Students meet with the instructor for two one-hour sessions per week at various times. This class is open enrollment. No classes on 10/11, 11/11, & 11/25.

Number Skills for College - Online
Note: This class will be offered virtually through a combination of email, texting, Zoom, and/or online learning. Students will occasionally be required to come to Skowhegan Area High School for testing.
This course will prepare students for Algebra I and/or entry-level college math. Whether you need a refresher before registering for your first college math course or need to improve your scores on the ACCUPLACER, you will find this course helpful. There will be a review of whole number operations, fractions, decimals, percentages, and other essential math skills. Word problems and the language of math will be explored.
