VIRTUAL English Language Learning Citizenship Preparation Class

Are you someone in the community who is not a native English speaker? Would you like help with English skills? You will learn to speak, read, understand, and write English with more confidence as well as get help speaking with teachers, making appointments and shopping. Language skills necessary to get and hold a job are part of the course as well. Students can enroll and join this free class at any time. Learners of all levels of English proficiency (beginner through advanced) are welcome! For more information, call 873-5754.

The Learning Center is open to all adults in need of academic instruction and guidance. Hours vary by day, and we will try to meet you on your schedule. Our staff provides individualized instruction in the areas of:

  • High School Equivalency
  • HiSET Prep
  • Accuplacer Prep
  • Math and ELA instruction to prepare you for college-level coursework
  • General reading, writing, and math tutoring for anyone pursuing college or career education
  • Workforce credential or certification tutoring and prep
  • College and Career advising

All services through the Learning Center are FREE of charge. If you or anyone you know could use any of these services, please contact us.

Due to restrictions, please do not drop in unannounced to the Learning Center. Call us to schedule your first appointment.

These ongoing classes help students prepare academically for a variety of programming:  preparation for the ETS HiSET high school equivalency exam, High School diploma credit courses, family literacy, basic adult literacy in math and reading, workforce training support such as CNA or ServSafe exam preparation, and more depending on individual needs and goals.

Schedules are designed around individual needs and availability.  Start times are flexible throughout the year.

  • Remote and distance learning options are also available. 
  • A formal meeting with the Program Director or Program Services Coordinator is required.
  • All Academic students must complete orientation paperwork and assessment testing before being assigned to classes.
