Beaded Bouquet and Candle Making Workshop

Join Jenn from Candlewood to make a beautiful fresh spring scented 12 ounce candle and one gorgeous beaded mini bouquet. You will enjoy a night of fun personalizing your candle, choosing your scents and crafting a unique bouquet no one will believe was crafted by YOU! Artificial flowers are handmade using acrylic beads and metal wire. They are perfect for daily use and can be placed indoors and outdoors as an stunning eye catching centerpiece decoration!  All Supplies included.

Circular Weaving

This exciting new series will immerse you in a new and playful artistic practice! This class is perfect for beginner and experienced weaving alike as weaving in the round is a whole new process! During this class you will learn how to warp your loom, experiment with a variety of weaving techniques, play with color and composition, and ultimately create your own beautiful work of art. All materials are included in this class, there will be a large selection of yarns in various colors and textures, although participants are always welcome to bring yarn for themselves or even to share! In addition to hands-on instruction, this series will give you the opportunity to sit back and weave with your classmates! There is a social element to weaving that has been treasured across cultures for centuries. It has long been seen as not only a practical skill, but a significant social activity!

Knitting for Beginners

Now is your chance to learn to knit. We will cover the very basics: casting on, the knit stitch, the purl stitch, and binding off. With this basic knowledge, you can eventually make almost any type of knitted garment or accessory. Needles and practice yarn included in registration fee. Class skips 6/3.

Notes from the Sea

We live close to the ocean, so why not include images from the sea in your cards? Join Faith and learn to make the following cards: one with a pull cord to reveal a hidden scene and birthday message, the second uses embossing and die cuts with shells to send an encouraging note, and the third has a raised scene of sea birds and a message of well wishes. The techniques you learn can be used to create other cards for other occasions, and the instructor will provide instructions, all materials, and show you examples of other cards using the same techniques. Registration closes at noon on 5/5.

Sea Glass Windows

Make a sea glass window! You will have sea glass, shells, stones, sand, and driftwood to make a wood-framed 8x10 art piece. Create your own design or use one of the provided templates. You will complete your seaside design in the workshop and will be given a kit and directions to ‘cure’ your piece at home.

Sewing: Perfecting a Pants Pattern

Calendar May 6, 2025 at 6 pm, runs for 4 weeks

In this class you will perfect a standard pants pattern by cutting out and sewing a muslin sample, ensuring your proper fit, then noting any alterations on your paper pattern. Bring three yards of muslin and a pants sewing pattern in your size along with scissors, pins, thread, seam ripper, Universal sewing needles, scotch tape, fabric marking pins, and a writing pen.
