Breathing And Meditation
with H Audet, Auburn Adult and Community Education
Learn tools to help with relaxation and calming the mind to bring you to a deeper sense of self. Each week, the instructor will guide students in light stretching and guided relaxation to prepare for seated meditation, breathing exercises known as pranayama, which help to calm the mind and prepare students for guided meditation practice to cultivate stilling the mind. No prior experience is necessary. What to bring: a yoga mat, a cushion or pillow, and a blanket. Class is held at Chill Yoga, 182 Lisbon Street, Lewiston, Maine. (Class is also live-streamed, so Zoom is an option. Please specify preference when registering).

Needle Felting Cookie Cutter Ornaments Morning Session Fall 2024

Beginner Friendly
All you need is an open-topped cookie cutter and a little wool and a needle – no baking required! You can bring your own cookie cutter or choose one from Julie’s collection. Once you have felted the basic shape you have many options for decorating – layers, flowers, trees – your only limit is your imagination! You may have time to make more than one! Julie Knowlton is a retired teacher and has been needle felting for many years. Julie’s class goals are for students to be successful, happy and have a good time crafting. Julie will provide all materials unless otherwise noted. Feel free to bring your own pen tool if you have one. Choose from morning or evening sessions with Julie, or come for both!
Introduction to Powerpoint

In this class we will learn how to create a presentation, adding and formatting text, insertinggraphics and video as well as learning how to work with transitions and animations.

Wednesday Wanderings at Negutaquet Conversation Area

Aquatics Fitness Class

Our therapy pool is 92 degrees with salt and H2O system. What a great way to work on your strength and flexibility, without pain. Great for any levels of fitness. All classes are taught by therapists and they can easily provide modifications if needed. Classes held at Hermon Covey Physical Therapy - 2263 RT. 2, Hermon, ME. Six classes per session.

Parents are required to attend the last 30 minutes of the first class AND participate in a ride-along with your child for the last hour of their 10 hour driving lessons requirement. Please Note: There is a make-up fee for missed classes.

Are you between ages 15 and 19 and want your State of Maine permit to prepare for your driving exam? We offer driver education courses to help build strong, safe, and confident drivers. Students are awarded an instructional permit upon successful completion of the course with a grade of 80 percent or better. Only employee discounts are allowed, but you must call to register. If the student has a medical condition, please contact the office or click on the link below as an additional medical form is required. Total hours of instruction is 40; 30 classroom and 10 driving. Full payment of $560 is required at the time of registration. If a student withdraws from the course, $75 is withheld from the refund to cover program costs. Only employee discounts for this class. Please bring your birth certificate or passport to the first class and a pen to every class as well as glasses for your eye exam, if you wear them.
