Steve McGrath is a professional freelance photographer and teacher with 25 years of experience. His love of the great outdoors led him to his true passion—nature photography. Steve was an active member of the Gateway Camera Club for many years and has won many ribbons and awards at fairs and competitions through the group and on his own. Many of his images have been published in school textbooks.

This Portrait and Pet photography course is designed to teach you everything you need to know to take professional-quality Portraits. In this class we will explore the use of intermediate camera controls such as metering (spot, matrix, center weight), exposure and exposure compensation, ISO, aperture and shutter priority. We will take an in-depth look at manual focus and its use, fill flash and flash modes, as well as controlling motion, composition, and many other intermediate and advanced techniques. You should be familiar with your camera (also, bring your camera manual to class) and be ready for some in-depth photographic training. This Class usually runs for 1.5-2 hours and is a 5-week course, and there are assignments every week as well! Instructor: Steve McGrath

Steve McGrath is a professional freelance Photographer and Photography Teacher who has been creating images for 30 years. Steve first began by shooting sports photography for local high schools, then weddings, and stock agencies. His love of the outdoors led him to focusing more on his true passion "nature photography" Many of his images have been published in school text books. His favorite places to shoot are Acadia National Park in Maine, the Green Mountains of Vermont, and the Cape Cod National Seashore.

In this class, you'll learn to form and forge metal to create a beautiful bracelet with a unique front clasp featuring a small bezel-set stone. Through demonstrations and ample work time, each student will master various soldering techniques and the metal forming process to shape the bracelet. After fabricating the bracelet, you'll add a small stone to serve as the clasp. All materials are included, and no prior experience is necessary. Join us and craft a stunning, personalized bracelet from start to finish! Instructor: Alice Carroll

Explore fundamental collage techniques to create your own artwork! Create your own collection of collage papers with a focus on using two main techniques to add color and patterns: stamping and crayon rubbings. Then, put those papers to use making collages to display or share with others. Play creative collage games to generate ideas and then create a collage that celebrates what brings us joy. Leave the course with a collection of papers for future projects as well as a few small collages. All materials provided. Please wear appropriate clothing to work with paint.
