This is an all-inclusive, entirely online 16-week certification course, providing practical real-world skills essential for success in the healthcare field. This course consists of Medical Terminology, Medical Front Office Skills, Electronic Medical Records Boot Camp, and Medical Billing. In addition, upon completion of all courses, you will sit for your CMAA (Certified Medical Administrative Assistant) Certification exam through the National Healthcareer Association (NHA).

Fun With Sola Flowers

Sola flowers are artificial flowers made out of a light and pliable wood. They can be dyed any color and are more versatile than real cut flowers. Learn dying techniques to create your own fun flower project. Please bring egg cartons if you have them, a hot glue gun to second class, and be prepared to get messy! All flowers included.

Registration for this class is free, meaning there is no fee to sign up for the course. However, once registered, there is a cost of $6750 to enroll in the class itself. Your registration doesn't secure your spot in the class. Your registration details are necessary for SCAE to forward to American Medical Professionals. Payments go directly to American Medical Professionals. They offer multiple payment methods.
After signing up for the class, you'll receive a packet to fill out and send directly to American Medical Professionals. Once you have filled out the paperwork and the requested information, the Academy of Medical Professionals will contact you to complete your registration process.

This course track combines two programs: Medical Administrative Assistant with Billing, as well as, Medical Coding with CPC-A, leaving you with 2 national certifications. It also includes our programs at a discounted rate. The Medical Professional courses are designed to be completed one after the other; course timing will be coordinated with you by our Education Advisors.

This is an online course. This class can be taken anytime, anywhere. All classes are pre-recorded for you to take at your own pace. You still have instructor support for this self-paced class.
Registration for this class is free, meaning there is no fee to sign up for the course. However, once registered, there is a cost of $3,200 to enroll in the class. Your registration doesn't secure your spot in the class. Your registration details are necessary for SCAE to forward to American Medical Professions. Classes are held once a week for 2 hours via Zoom and are recorded. You may choose to attend the course Live via Zoom or Self-paced by watching the recorded classes; both program options have instructor support. You will learn HIPAA compliance and health information in the medical office, insurance and billing procedures, financial and practice management, and administrative duties. In addition, we take you through the “virtual medical office” which allows you to practice “real” medical office skills before entering the workforce.

Working with Silver Clay is an exciting process where the inexperienced can explore their artistic abilities and create unique one of a kind items. Come join this exciting class where beginners can easily learn to create earrings, pendants, charms, beads, bracelets, and rings. Experience a new creative adventure and learn how easy and fun it is to make beautiful items from Precious Metal Clay (PMC) or Art Clay Silver (ACS). Materials fee of $80 is payable to the instructor on the first night of class.

ASL 1 will be an introductory course for students interested in learning ASL. Topics covered will include: Alphabet; Vocabulary for greetings, basic conversation, colors, time, and family; and an introduction to Deaf Culture.
SarahJoy Chaples has been teaching classes and workshops for over 10 years. She holds an MA from UMaine in Human Development and is fluent in American Sign Language. SarahJoy has been involved in the Deaf Communities here in Maine and in Massachusetts for over 20 years.
DIY Moisturizers

Come learn how to make moisturizer using just a few ingredients. We will make body butter, lotion, and lip balm/cuticle cream. You will go home with some of each along with recipes and instructions for making your own.
