(running for 8+ years)-This course is a low-impact, full-body workout to help tone muscles, increase range of motion, mobility and flexibility and help reduce stress.  You will move through a series of stretching and toning exercises that will elongate and strengthen muscles.  No experience is necessary.  Bring a mat for floorwork and light hand-held weights or 2 filled up water bottles to use during the toning section.  

Learn to use gelli printing plates! We will cover a variety of layering techniques in this entertaining printmaking session, incorporating found materials to add texture. Have fun experimenting and creating art that can be displayed on its own, or used in other crafts or collages. All materials provided.

Karalyn Thayer has a BFA from the ME College of Art with a background in teaching web and graphic design. She creates her art with the use of mixed-media illustrations and loves experimenting with at-home printmaking.

This online course presents the major human biological principles including biochemistry, cell biology, DNA and genetics, human anatomy and physiology, including directional terms and orientation, and more.  

Students will experience the process of science through the conduction of virtual dissections, microscopy and other laboratory experiments and research.  Whenever possible, equipment and supplies will be available for loan for lab sessions.  This college pre-requisite course is offered for high school diploma credit. This is an in-person class.

Vanessa loves working with adult learners. She is really easy to be around and makes people extremely comfortable; she even makes learning math and computers fun! She is committed to helping adults discover their strengths, build their confidence, and realize they can accomplish their goals. In her free time, she loves to travel and explore the outdoors. Vanessa teaches math, science, technology, and provides college and career advising.

Learn to play the ukulele! It has never been more popular and you don't even have to know how to read music! On the uke you can knock out folk music, rock, blues, jazz, pop, country, tunes old and new -- even classical music. Duncan Perry, who has taught more than 700 students of all ages, will introduce you to essential chords and playing techniques using commonly known songs. Oh, and there are lots of laughs along the way. And, learning to play an instrument is good for your brain! You will need a playable ukulele and an electronic tuneror a tuner app. And when folks hear you play this happy instrument, well, they just have tosmile! While regular piano teachers teach note reading, piano professionals use chords. And you can learn all the chords you?ll need to play any song in this one session. Any song. Any style. Any key. If you can find middle C and know the meaning of Every Good Boy Does Fine, you already know enough to enroll in this workshop. Students need to be 18 or older.
