In this course, you will learn all of the essential information needed to be able to understand the components of an astrological chart. Learn the basic philosophy behind astrology, what astrology is, (and is not) and how it can be used. A personal astrological birth chart is included.
Spanish for Beginners: Conversational Skills & Everyday Life
with Courtney Hutchings, Merrymeeting Community & Adult Education
Join us for this engaging 6-week introduction to Spanish, designed to build confidence and spark conversation. In weekly two-hour sessions, you'll explore topics such as introducing yourself, expressing likes and dislikes, ordering food in restaurants, and navigating places around town. With a focus on speaking and listening, each class blends vocabulary building, practical phrases, and cultural insights to bring the language to life. Whether you’re planning a trip, connecting with Spanish-speaking communities, or simply curious to learn, this course offers the perfect springboard. No prior experience needed!
Cuban Salsa: Level 1
with Anna Golendukhina, Merrymeeting Community & Adult Education
In this class, students will learn the basics of the Salsa footwork and some simple, fun moves that will get you out on the dance floor. You will learn how to connect with any partner, and build confidence dancing to different styles and tempos and music. Students will be introduced to the famous Salsa Rueda. Partner is recommended. Needle Knitting: A Winter Sweater Knit-Along
with Elizabeth Sokoloff, Merrymeeting Community & Adult Education
Are you a newish (or out of practice) knitter and ready to tackle your first sweater? Using my fool-proof classic pullover sweater pattern, you will learn basic sweater construction skills such as tweaking a pattern to achieve your perfect fit, knitting from the top-down, creating raglan sleeves, and final finishing techniques. Learn in a communal, stress-free and satisfying way! Some very basic knitting experience is required. Bring a sweater that fits you well to the first class. Students will purchase their own yarn and needles, so cost will vary. *No Class: 2/19.
Tai Chi with Robin for Continuing Students

Open Studio Ceramics (Thursday Sessions)

Are you comfortable with your clay abilities and just looking for a place to work and improve your skills? Join us in the Morse High School Ceramics Studio and start making all those things you have been dreaming up! This is not an instructor lead class, but the instructor will be on site working in case you need something. $65 for materials and studio fee, payable to instructor, must be paid on the first night of class. *Purchasing additional clay: The fee is an additional $65 to cover the firing, glazes and other consumables used during class. Please note: If you miss a class, you cannot make-up the class at another time. The ceramics schedule is very tight and these classes are usually full. Glass on Glass Mosaic
with Herenya Wilkey, Merrymeeting Community & Adult Education
An intro to the bright and shiny world of glass on glass mosaics. Bring a nature photo for inspiration or go with the flow for an abstract adventure. Mosaic substrate is an unfinished wooden picture frame with a clear glass back. The first two classes are for breaking, arranging and gluing glass. The third class we will grout and finish. Tools will be provided for in class use. No experience required! All Materials provided. A material fee of $35 must be paid to the instructor on the first night of class.
