Gentle Beginner Yoga, Session II

Yoga can help you feel better in your body by reducing stress, and improving strength, flexibility, and balance. This slow-flowing, gentle yoga class teaches two poses each week to explore in greater detail and offers yogic breathing and relaxation for stress reduction. Modifications are offered so you can feel your best in each pose. Wear comfortable clothing that allows movement and bring an extra layer. Bring a yoga mat, if you have one. Gentle Yoga with Jana

Gentle Yoga is designed for adults af any age, including seniors. Also those with minor physical ailments. We modify poses and would use blocks, blankets bolsters and straps to achieve a gentler approach to allow the body to fully achieve the position comfortably. Reset yourself into better health! This is an opportunity to reset your body over the course of four weeks. You will be guided through a fun, energizing reset, including information about a one-week cleanse to help the body renew. If you have ever wanted to try a cleanse with the guidance of a health/life coach, now is your chance. You will find you have more energy!

Harvest Wreath

Create a harvest wreath using natural materials collected from nearby woods and favorite shops. Twigs, acorns, moss and lichen will be arranged to create a decorative wreath to hang above your mantle or place on your dining table or sideboard. Susan will show you how to include a little hidden oasis so a few stems of fresh cut flowers may be added just before your special event. Students bring garden clippers or shears, glue gun if available, and a few fun items to add (shells, buttons, lace etc.). $10 material fee included. No discounts.

Healing Without the High: Using CBD in Your Everyday Wellness Routine

When our bodies get depleted we are no longer able to produce enough of the cannabinoids responsible for keeping the mind and body in a state of equilibrium known as “health.” Luckily, the hemp plant is full of naturally-occurring cannabinoids that can help the body bring itself back into balance again. In this class you will explore how CBD interacts with the body, discover different extraction and delivery methods, and find out how to select the right product for you. You’ll also create a personalized blend of essential oils and CBD for a therapeutic roll-on to take home with you and enjoy CBD infused treats while you learn. No discounts.

Holiday Globe Light

Note:  change from printed catalog. This class is on December 3rd.  Create a stunning accent light with a sparkling presence. Two circular hanging wire planters will be fixed together creating a globe that can be covered with twinkle lights. Create one or several and you will have a wonderful accent piece to brighten a dark corner or add mood lighting to a special event indoors or out. Students bring needle nose pliers, wire cutters, one or two strings of twinkle lights (plug in, battery, or solar powered), two wire circular planters of the same size. No discounts.

In the Dough, In the Know

Calendar Nov 5, 2019 at 6 pm, runs for 1 week

Who can resist the smell of fresh bread baking? We will learn how to mix, knead, proof and shape basic yeast dough. Participants will learn how to create cloverleaf rolls, butter crescents, cinnamon swirls, tea rings and whole-wheat rolls as well as an economical savory braid that comes together quickly. Various yeast bread recipes will be shared and discussed. Each student will go home with a basket of yummy warm samples. Bring an apron, rolling pin, cutting board and a plastic tub to fill and take home. Winter in Maine is made for an activity like this! $10 material fee included in price of class. No discounts.

Intermediate Pickleball

Raise the level of your pickleball game! This intermediate class is designed for those who have had about a year of playing experience or, at least a 2.5 rating. You should know the rules, be consistent with basic shots and court positions. The class will consist of drill to work on specific skills, strategy and teamwork.
