The Sales Agent Online Class
with Katie Rawls, Merrymeeting Community & Adult Education

This 55-hour remote learning real estate agent course, approved by the Maine Real Estate Commission, is a prerequisite to taking the Pearson VUE state licensing exam. Based on the book, Introduction to a Successful Career in Maine Real Estate, by Charles “Kim” Coit, its content includes material that is basic to the practice of real estate in Maine. This class is ongoing and the student can start as soon as they register. PDF copy of book is provided, $35 for hard copy.

Tai Chi for Flexibility and Balance

This 16 week course is designed to be easy, safe and effective to learn. It enhances the body's energetic system thus practicing the form improves almost all aspects of health. Over 10 scientific studies show it to relieve pain, maintains and improves health and the overall quality of life. Almost anyone of any physical condition can begin and continue to progress regardless of age. Practicing this form will help to improve your balance, flexibility, reduce falls, reduce stress, improve muscular strength, fitness, serenity and enhance your mind-body connection.

Watercolor Studio combines structured instruction with guided independent work. Each session features a specific theme, such as color or value, beginning with 45 minutes of instruction, exercises, and demonstrations. Students then work on individual projects with instructor guidance. If you don't have a current project, we'll help you develop one. The class concludes with a 10-minute supportive critique. This class is for those who have taken watercolor classes before—preferably a workshop with the instructor or the beginning watercolor class. *No Class: 5/26.

Known for their vine-like structure, they climb walls, wrap around mailboxes, and even cover fence posts. They can be found in any sunny location, but when the sun goes down they close up tight for the night. This trumpet-like flower ranges in a wide variety of colors, from dark purples to soft pinks. No painting experience needed, Shirley Anderson will guide you step by step. Canvas and paints are supplied.

Bring your questions—they've got the answers! If you've been curious about Maine oysters - or aquaculture - but don't know where to begin, this introductory class is for you! By the end of the class, you will have a new understanding and appreciation of oyster cultivation and the ways farming techniques impact quality and flavor - you'll be ready to go out into the world and act as an ambassador for one of Maine's most prized aquaculture products!
